Great nature center and preserve no matter if you're just going there yourself or are taking the family with. Common wildlife includes deer, chipmunks, squirrels (including black ones), woodpeckers, robins, sparrows, and goldfinches. Deep in the preserve is the Marsh Tower, which is a small elevated wood platform you can walk stairs up to, and it's a nice view from the top. Perfect place to go to in the summer!
Great nature trails! There's tons of deer and it's perfect for birding! I loved it! It's a popular place to visit, so be mindful of the other visitors!
Even in the winter it is a pleasant walk on the snow
Heaven in the middle of the city. If you want to give a break to this industrialized world and be with nature, come here. Breathe. Meet with wild turkeys, dears, owls and tons of different birds.
Lots of deer along the easy to travel trail! Places to stop and check things out with a little one. It's not intense hiking but a nice stroll and you can make it longer and a bit more naturey by choosing trails that are further out. Overall it's a quiet nice place and great for getting my one year old out into nature without having to make it a big trip.
