I experienced the unfortunate event of driving over a plastic garbage bag in the road. It was immediately wrapped around the drive shaft and sucked right into the rear differential of my 1500 Ram truck. It started leaking oil so we replaced the fluids and the seal. While doing that we discovered plastic was embedded in the bearings and an overhaul was required. I called around to multiple shops and dealerships. R&P of Oakland was the only place that understood the exact issue (they've had to fix it many times), gave us a quote on the phone that ended up being almost dead on, and provided excellent customer service. I knew my truck would be in great hands and that the work would be done correctly. They treated me and my husband with respect and professionalism the entire time. They even saved the destroyed bearings to show us how much plastic was hiding behind there. I dropped it off on a Monday afternoon, with the estimated pickup of Friday afternoon. They called me Tuesday morning saying they had a cancellation and the truck was already being worked on. We were able to pick it up Tuesday afternoon. Couldn't recommend this team enough. Their quality of work is unmatched. If you need any axle work done this is the place. Thank you SO much!

Had to do a rebuild on my rear differential for a 2020 Wrangler Rubicon. Mike was very kind to my wife when they spoke on the phone. He explained everything to us when we did a check in and spoke to us like humans. He spoke with abundant knowledge, knowing how other shops install parts wrong and why. The work done has been great since the service, little over a week. This shop was recommended by another shop in Lapeer, one I trust very much. Also the cost was extremely competitive, even using high end parts. My wife and I loved our experience here and I have already been spreading the word.

Great shop, old school vibe. These guys are experts when it comes to drivelines. I had a Jeep Wrangler rear diff carrier replaced with an upgraded unit. Mike scheduled me in and they got the job done faster than expected and done well. I would highly recommend Ring & Pinion if you have any differential / axle needs. Glad I was referred to them!! Plus the staff of mechanics are very friendly and will gladly explain everything to you.
