The damage to the human body from an automobile accident is a testament for the dangers of bad driving. A lot of the injuries are permanent and a painful reminder to how we can't avoid physics. My injuries have been long-lasting and continuously require surgeries to mitigate the damage from less than ten minutes of my life. My spine was damaged in multiple locations requiring four surgeries for my spine alone. I am in continuous therapy for the damage to my brain, including poor balance and a seizure disorder. My most recent surgery less than seven months ago was a carpal tunnel release. Unfortunately, I acquired a hospital staph infection hampering my recovery. White Lake ATI, physical therapy, has been helping me for a long time and unfortunately, my recovery has slowed due to poor health. I am a hostage to my health; however, ATI has been sympathetic and has worked around my health problems. A seven month battle with a staph infection has slowed my recovery of my shoulder, right hand and my spine. Physical Therapist Samantha has been a gift from God by working with me and remaining flexible around my health issues. Samantha and the entire staff are summed up in one word, "Awesome." Mrs. Samantha is a testament to flexibility, desire to help those who are recovering and a powerful knowledge of rehabilitation. The entire staff is friendly including the manager or at least I believe he is one. I jokingly refer to him as "Magic Mike" for his ability to handle multiple priorities. Samantha also is very adept at juggling multiple priorities and has been able to work around my frequent days of poor health. Prior to Samantha's rehabilitation, I could not muster the strength to get up easily and the proof is in her work to strengthen my core allowing myself to get-up with minimal assistance. I highly recommend ATI for Physical Therapy.
