Franklin Public Library

Address: 32455 Franklin Rd, Franklin, MI 48025, USA

Library

“A wonderful, adorable, tiny library! It looks like it doesn't have much material, but WRONG: it's part of a network of 50 libraries in Southeast Michigan, plus the MelCat system with access to material from all the Michigan libraries, which means we can get EVERYTHING we want. And it might look a bit cold to some with its almond green walls, but believe me, it's a very warm library. I wouldn't swap for any other one!”

“Bright, colorful and welcoming. We went during covid, so many of the kids activities were closed. The staff seemed friendly enough, but didn’t ask to help or offer to check out additional toys and games, until we’d been there for over and hour. Plan to give it another try in the future.”

Oakland County Pioneer Historical Society

Museum Library

“We visited for a service project, and spent some time helping to do some lawnscaping. While doing it, we had the chance to look around the grounds, and it is a beautiful place! There is a muesuem, with some cool maps and a number of interesting things to look at. It is the best place that I've seen to learn about the history of Oakland County. I have to think, with all this virtual school and school from home, that this would be an outstanding place to take the kids for half a day and learn about our past.”

Addison Township Library

Address: 1400 Rochester Rd, Leonard, MI 48367, USA

Library

“This library is such a special place in our little town! The staff is incredibly kind, and I am always greeted with a smile. There are many events that our family enjoys, and the summer reading program is one of our favorites. My school aged kids are always motivated to read over the summer, and I know a big part of that is sharing their accomplishments with the staff. Everyone who works here really cares about the patrons and makes us feel welcome. Thank you for your service to our community, Addison Township Library!”

“I moved to Oxford a few months ago and took my two daughters ages 4 and 8 To the library for the first time today the staff was extremely helpful and super nice the facility is clean and there is even a separate area for the kids. They had tons of books, games, blocks and other toys.I don’t usually write reviews but my daughters had such a wonderful time at this library that I decided to. I met multiple staff members and all of them were Super nice and helpful. My daughters both got individual library cards and then a cute little pouch to put them in. They were able to check out their books on their own and got a little bag and receipt at the end which they loved. After we were done they played outside at the park right next to the library which is a very nice park for kids. I absolutely recommend this library to anyone with kids.”

“Lovely People. I came into contact with Rabbi Joshua due to my Grandmother passing away, and Temple Israel presiding over her ceremony and the work leading up to it. I feel very fortunate to have been served by this group of kind, wonderful people. Their excellent use of communications technology during COVID restrictions on larger gatherings and travel is great. They provided (battery powered) a P.A. System and live streamed the ceremony. Every detail counts... they think of everything. I am confident that when you need a temple these folks are the jam. Thanks Temple Isreal! Peace and Love.”
