I think Kelly is a wonderful teacher to my daughter Lucy. Kelly is very patient and kind throughout the whole lesson. My daughter has made a big improvement on her flute skill with Kelly’s teaching. Kelly truly is magical and I highly recommend her.

Kelly has been teaching my daughter flute for the past year and a half and she is amazing! Her method of teaching young people through connection and passion make her exceptional! My daughter feels encouraged, challenged, and supported in her lessons with Kelly. I would highly recommend!

Kelly is a fantastic teacher! My daughter was about 11 when she started with Kelly, and had learned bad practices under her previous teacher. Kelly got her up to speed quickly and in a very positive manner. Kelly is always positive and motivating, and gets great results. Every concert I went to was enjoyable and it was wonderful to see my child enjoying her flute lessons so much, and excelling at playing. Even though she has graduated college and moved way, my daughter still plays her flute and keeps in touch with Kelly.

Kelly McDermott is truly the most invested and insightful teacher you could ask for! I've taken lessons from since her since I was 3 years old (I'm now 18), and I've always felt cared for and challenged. Kelly pushes you in exactly the right way, and helps you realize your better self, musically and just in life. Besides lessons, she also leads studio groups for chamber music experience, and can connect you to musical opportunities in the community. I'm pursuing professional flute in college, and I can attribute my skills and passion to Kelly. But even before I committed to that path, Kelly was my #1 supporter. For all ages, I can't recommend Kelly enough!!
