“I was in Descant choir for three years and Concert choir for one, and it has helped me and my voice grow. I some great friends there. The directors for both concert and descant choir want to make the kids sound good and both directors foster a great environment to learn more about singing chorally. Furthermore, the choir allowed me more than just what my elementary school music program was doing. I learned a lot about how to behave and act while performing, technique things, and it really did help my voice grow a lot. I had a very good experience there and highly recommend it for any young person who is interested in singing.”

“I attended PHS and graduated in 2001. Great school with good sports programs, excellent music programs, and a very solid academic curriculum. When applying to colleges I received a bump in GPA due to the competitive nature of the academics.”

“Apologies for any triteness. Democracy runs well w an educated populace. A few hallmarks of a Democracy are; Quality of Life, Education, Freedoms and the Civil Rights of All. Universal Healthcare, Access, Education and Trades training, why not? If we are able to pay one man millions of dollars, then why not provide for millions of people? How often does corporate welfare, “trickle down” and subsidies to huge corporations translate into savings? Educated, critically thinking humans are one goal and Community Colleges are gateways and answers to improving and increasing Democratic values. How naive, ignorant and misinformed I was as a young adult, to snub and look down on Community Colleges. As the decades passed and the Grace of wisdom was given to me, I began to realize the value of CC. Mistakes made can be the process in which we grow and improve, if those mistakes don’t kill you. Thus, Washtenaw Community College is packed full of the possibilities of enhancing the potentialities, aptitudes and visions, just as any institution of higher learning should be. The key: Higher Learning. Do not disparage the “in-district” resident’s ability to pay $95 a credit hour. Of course, the Big 10, Ivy League and others are prestigious and wonders to behold. Yet talent is talent and at times it all comes out in the wash. We are all in the mosaic of life. An accommodating student center, the Legendary Morris Lawrence w the Auditorium’s name in his honor and the music program still going strong. WCC offers countless resources, references and an ability to improve your life plan. A new career pathway, a hobby, a skill, a language- don’t break an arm or a leg, go into an easy transition, by becoming a WCC student and hold your head high.”

“This has been the perfect place for our little boy. We were first attracted to it's peaceful environment and the focus on daily living activities that children can do on their own to foster independence and confidence - especially at preschool age, they love to do these things (tie shoes, put on jackets, sweep, etc). As he has grown and developed, we've appreciated that he can explore the many wonderful Montessori activities at his level and speed. Attention spans of all the children really develop here. It is a caring, nurturing, healthy environment with healthy food, outdoor play, etc. We can't say enough about the teachers! The facility needs updates, but the tuition is low to allow all access to this great Montessori education - hard to have it both ways, and we could get over old facilities in the interest of diversity and quality.”

“Fantastic experience, highest recommendation! Our daughter flourished with Tara and we continue to see the benefits more than 2 years later - she will forever more be our Nature Girl! Since attending Ann Arbor Forest School our daughter is more confident, able to show respect and empathy for others, more patient and kind, and has greater resiliency. She learned fine motors skills, safety skills, listening and communication skills, plant identification, and more! From the small group to the wonderful homemade food that Tara serves up daily, the near-daily trips to parks and woods, visits from local musicians and nature experts, and all the outdoor time any kid could want, Ann Arbor Forest School is a real gem and inspiration. We're truly grateful and humbled by Tara's enthusiasm and unending kindness, and wish all children could have such an amazing experience with early childhood learning and development.”

“We have had such a great experience at Huron and Ann Arbor Public Schools as a whole. From staff support to academic goals for our children. Students have more options for getting an academic challenge. An increasing number of American high schools offer the International Baccalaureate program like Huron. It offers a rigorous set of courses, and is internationally recognized. Only 830 schools in the U.S. offer the IB program, and 4,000 in close to 150 countries. Unlike AP courses, IB takes a more holistic approach with critical thinking and out of class requirements. It has students look at an issue over time and see how it has impact over parts of the world and how there is that connectivity to it all. It really gets children ready for the world. Also more college credit can be given for IB courses. I am glad my children are challenged in all subject areas at Huron. Also what’s greater than going to school right next to U of M?!”

“This is hands down the best nursery and Montessori in all of Ann Arbor. I have three kids and I have always been a fan of the Montessori learning daycare system but this place just blew me away. They are incredibly caring extremely communicative and really take care of the children like they are their own kids. I rarely ever write a review but this place really warranted it and they are truly deserving of five stars. I wish I could give them six stars. Amazing Montessori daycare.”
