Karen knows how to talk to young children and teens which isn’t always the case with skilled musicians. My daughter both likes and respects her as a teacher which is high praise from a teenager! Karen is very organized and her prices are fair. I always tell people I feel like I won the jackpot when we found Karen for a private violin teacher. “My teenage son saw Dr Derrow in Toledo, Ohio. My son suffered from chronic seasonal itching his entire life that began to get very intense. We decided to make an appointment with an allergist and see if they would have new insight that would help. Dr Derrow was very thorough. He ran tests in the office, asked for medical history, and ordered blood work. In office testing confirmed what we already knew, BUT the blood work discovered that my son was anemic. He advised my son to make a follow up appointment with his PCP. From there it was discovered that my son had stage IV Hodgkin’s lymphoma. We are very thankful for Dr Derrow and the steps he took to help us discover why my son suffered so much. I believe he saved my son’s life. We would highly recommend Dr Derrow!”

“Tech was very reassuring and addressed every one of my questions. Doctor was very thorough, I really appreciated getting to see the X-rays as well. I really appreciated the service provided by all of the staff. Although it was costly to perform all of the various diagnostic tests, it seemed clear that if the cost was too great the antibiotics could be prescribed as a likely solution. However, I was grateful to have the peace of mind knowing we hadn’t missed anything. After my visit, the doctor called to share the test results. As I played the voicemail, his first words were to inquire how my cat was feeling. Again when I returned the call he asked me how she was. Having had many pets over the years, I was pleasantly surprised by his concern for her wellbeing. It seems it should be obvious, but this basic compassion seems to be a rarity in my experience. I later realized another of the doctors at this practice had worked at another animal hospital in the area many years ago, when my dog was a puppy. This doctor was also exceptionally kind, even supportive of my raw feeding plan over a decade ago when every one told me I was crazy. Since he left that animal hospital so many years ago, my furry family has bounced from one vet to another, always looking for this exceptional level of service again.”

“I just had my appointment to have my braces put on at 11:00 AM on 01/09/24. I'll update this review periodically as the progress happens. For now, I'm really excited to fix my huge overbite, gummy smile, and jaw pain! So, while I can't yet review how the braces have worked, as it is still day one, I can absolutely talk about how WONDERFUL the staff is! Both the doctor, Dr. Jim Fraser, and the assistant (I'm so sorry, I don't remember her name, but I will edit this when I update it as she super deserves to be metioned too) were amazing! Super nice to work with, and willing to explain everything throughly so I would understand before and while working on me. The appointment was quick, both in the actual procedure which not only involved putting on the brackets, but also taking off some old Invisalign attachments I still had on from a different place years ago, as well as the waiting time, as I started my appointment right at 11:00, as scheduled. In addition to starting right on time and not having to wait a long time, the appointments also feel very personal, like they're there to specifically help you in that time, which, I know they are, but some places have a very "we have to get you out so we can get the next person in" kind of feeling to them, which Apex thankfully didn't do at all. They made me feel incredibly comfortable and confident in their work and abilities my entire appointment, as well as during the free consultation. So far, I definitely recommend this place, and will keep my review update as my treatment progresses.”
