Always friendly and helpful. My Dad's been going to Lockman's for a VERY long time now for his help with his boat when needed.

I called to get a carb kit, asked what motor troubles I'm having. They agreed the next step was a carb kit and they would show me where possible obstructions could be.
I was greeted at the door. As I entered I knew I was in the right place. I have worked on motors since age 12. I'm older now. I asked about throttle timing and recieved detailed information. The info confirmed my settings. Lockeman's Hardware and boat is the place to call or visit. If you need a simple part or service Lockeman's Hardware and Boats is the place. I don`t know much about boats. They have helped me out on more than one occasion. Very friendly to deal with and the pricing is more than fair. I am very pleased with the service and quality of parts as well as their expertise. 5 Stars *****

Another great experience at Lockemans! In business for over 100 years and going strong to this day. It is a hardware store but they sell, service Evinrude/Johnson outboards and stock parts as well. They also sell boats typically geared towards fishing on the great lakes as well as the Detroit river. Walking in is like going back in time with all of the nostalgia they have on the walls and all over the shelves, but they also carry the latest and greatest modern parts & accessories too. There is no other place quite like Lockemans that I have ever been to! The owner, his son, and the other employees are extremely knowledgeable and will answer any questions you may have and give you straight advice without any pressure or scare tactics when you talk to them about any problems you are experiencing with your boat or outboard motor. Truly honest technicians that are not there to drain your wallet, hard to find especially in the marine/boating repair industry.
