River Rouge Public Library

Walked to the Library on Saturday. It was our new "Saturday Plan." Unfortunately, they decided to close all weekend, for summer hours. So disappointed. Growing up and even with my own children, going to the library was a weekly event. My grandmother was even a librarian, and my daughter volunteered all through her school years. So sad to see this library is not open on the weekends. We shall have to find another library to go to.

Love this library! I grew up going here as a kid, took my son and now my daughter get to go an enjoy all it has to offer. Definitely a stable in the community! Fun and learning place!

Not the most updated library I've been to, but clean and quite. There's never really that many patrons here. Easy to find and usually rather peaceful.

The River Rouge Library and the staff have always been very supportive of Girl Scots and has allowed us to run programming whenever we have needed the space. They have been extremely helpful and accommodating with allowing us in early wherever we need. I truly appreciate and thank them for their support, kindness, and dedication to the community.

Although the collection is relatively small, there are always some new books on display and The Library Network makes it easy to request books from other locations if they aren't available in Rouge. My favorite part about this library is the staff. Even though I imagine they are very busy with patrons from the minute the library opens right up until close, they always took the time to chat with me for a few minutes when I was picking up my requests. I like feeling invested in and that was something I could count on the staff of this library to do. I will miss visiting this library now that we're out of the area!
