“Does SKLD need interior updates? Yes! Could the food be better? Yes! However, it is not a hotel. When it comes to caring for my mother, it is great. My mother was transferred to SKLD from another facility. The difference is like Heaven and Hell. My mother wasn't walking or eating when she arrived, and she had a compression ulcer. She is standing, walking, healing, and doing a few physical things that she could not do before. She has upgraded from pureed food to a regular diet. SKLD has a caring staff. There aren't individuals from temporary agencies coming in and out like a revolving door. My mother's entire care team is attentive, responsive, and keeps me abreast of everything that has to do with her care. Tara and Mayada made her transition smooth. Tina ensured that her medical records were accurate and updated her care plan accordingly. Karen is one of the most patient Aides I have met in this process. Mo and the physical therapy team treats my mother like she is a family member. THIS IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT! SKLD is not perfect, but I trust them with my mother's care.”

“The service here is always the best.  The staff are really engaged and a part of the community.  I enjoy shopping here not only for the prices but because of the positive surprises I come across.  Sometimes brand names are offered and other times local names or items from regions that are not normally available around here. Shopping in their food aisles is not only a bargain it can yield some real delicacies from time to time. It's all about the people.  The staff works hard to keep this store well stocked and that is necessary because a lot of neighbors walk to the place and use it quite often.  Even though the Dollar General Store is a national brand it is very much a part of the local community.”
