“Having an aging relative means a constant influx of new prescriptions. If you have ever tried to call a CVS, you quickly discover that they never answer the phone, you are in an endless computerized loop. Press 9 to check on the status of a prescription, and after pressing 9 it wants you to enter a mysterious prescription number, that of course you don't have. At that point the computer tells you to go online and check the patient's account, which of course they don't have, because they are 80 years old and don't go online. It's so refreshing to just call Walmart pharmacy, a real person answers the phone, and tells you that the prescription is ready for pickup. Or that the prescription was sent to a different pharmacy, or that the prescription was never called in. But at least you talk to a real person instead of spending 20 minutes pressing buttons.”

“Dr Abessinio is not perfect but she cares about her patients more than any other doctor I know (she’s probably tied with my primary care provider). I’ve never had a doctor give me their cell phone and text me when I needed him or her. I wound up going with a larger clinic when I was pregnant because Dr Abessinio is in practice by herself and I wanted to go to a larger practice where there is more support/resources. However, even though she was not handling my pregnancy she came to see me when I was in labor. I had just started crying because the nurse said something not kind to me. She immediately made me feel better and encouraged me and when she had to leave I was smiling and laughing instead of crying. I see a couple of negative reviews and I think those patients caught her on a bad day. I had one experience like that, however I give her grace because she is a wonderful doctor and cares. I encourage anyone who had a negative experience to go and see her and tell her how it impacted them. Or call her if you don’t have time to stop by. I guarantee she will apologize. She is humble if nothing else.”
