“This motel was heaven sent. Jessica and Tyrone, the managers, live on the property and were very helpful and encouraging. They made us feel comfortable and at home. We stayed 6 weeks while waiting to move into the home we bought. The room was spacious. There was a queen bed, a dresser, night stand, smart TV, a microwave, and a mini fridge. To help us feel more like being at home, we were allowed to bring our 2 recliners and my husband's mattress. He has back issues, and this stay would have been unbearable without these. We have 2 dogs, that were welcomed as the family they are. The pet fee was reasonable. The weekly rate is unbeatable. The water pressure was awesome, and there was always hot water, which was important to me as i loved a hot relaxing bath. Since there are quite a few long stay guests, it felt more like a community than a motel. As excited as we are to be in our home, we definitely miss the awesome environment we experienced here. If we ever have another situation where we need a home away from home, we will be returning here. Thank you, Jessica and Tyrone, for providing us peace and comfort during a stressful time for us!”

“I pulled into the red arrow motel on Plymouth Road in Dixboro, Michigan in need of an inexpensive hotel room. I met Judith the owner. Very affable, very nice, and very matter-of-factly. She showed me a room and without hesitation, said it was “hospital clean” and she said it with all confidence. Now I’ve been on a journey for two months staying in cheap hotels and I honestly spent three days cleaning one of them and never got a chance to do my work (I'm an Artist and I need a clean environment to work in. Because I’m a clean freak (not to be confused with a germaphobe). I had to wipe down a table because of my clean tendencies. I was going to dry coffee cups on there. There was nothing on my paper towel!!! Amazing! The place really was "hospital clean"> So, just for grins and giggles, I did a little white glove in the bathroom and bedroom... It’s all hospital clean as well. Also the place is full of nostalgia. It has these old cabinets, old wood paneling, old fixtures, old lights, old fans, but there are no smells. There was even a little three wick candle that I could use in the room that smells nice. Based on the rate paid for four days… I got the best value of my entire ordeal at hotels, and I would include a couple of the major chain hotels that I stayed at. Thank you Judith!!! “The Greenleaf B&B, located in Onsted, MI, is a true gem that we came across and stayed at! The owners, Diane and Steven, have taken great care of this home and it truly shows with all the attention to detail that they have poured into restoring this mansion, which was originally built about 150 years ago! We learned alot about this home from Steven and later that evening we enjoyed the comforts of one of the very nice rooms that we slept in, after spending a wonderful day at nearby Hidden Lake Gardens! And the breakfasts that Diane prepared for us in the morning were served in a beautiful room, and it was so delicious along with fine attention to detail! We look forward to returning to stay again some day!”

“I have lived in the RiverBrook Community for about 4 years now; and I like living in this community, because everyone seems so nice and friendly. The manager Sue & her staff, goes above & beyond to do whatever it takes to make sure her residents are happy & satisfied living here in RiverBrook. Whenever there is an issue with something, the staff is right on it, and the maintenance crew is out getting the job done! They are making sure the community is kept clean of garbage, clearing the roads in the winter; and Sue has also made it a point to repair a lot of the roads and driveways in the community as well! Your dedication and hard work for us as residents is definitely appreciated, and I thank you. Thank you to everyone at the office for making this community an enjoyable place to reside.”

“Fantastic!! We stayed at "The Woods" with family friends from out-of-town and loved every second! We stayed for 5 days and wished it was longer. "The Woods," and by the looks of the other rentals, was designed as rather upscale-rustic. These rentals on the property are all cozy, and present with a very relaxing atmosphere. The ultimate get-away location. The kitchen, as well as the rest of the house, was well-stocked and had every amenity that you could think of...and then some! The bedrooms were perfect size and the beds were very comfortable. There is plenty of room to socialize in and entertain. Each of the houses on the property are spaced nicely apart so that there is that "up-north" feeling of privacy. The outdoor hot-tub was also a hit! The house was impeccably clean and checking in was a breeze. Annie, the host, was super helpful, kind, and attentive. We can't wait to come up with an excuse to stay again!”

“I have been dealing with a thistle infestation in my backyard and I didn’t know what to do… I tried pulling it and it all came back, round up nothing worked, and we are talking about 80‘ x 16‘… I called Pete at begonia brothers. he knew just what to do… said we had to pull it all and cover it with plastic and let it sit for six months to kill the vines. This crew started yesterday at my house, and they just finished and I can’t be more thrilled. they are respectful, kind, ask questions, clean up. They are the hardest workers I’ve ever seen!!! Truly grateful to Pete and his crew!!!!”
