The staff and residents are what make the Edison a great place to live! The common areas are clean and tidy. The pool makes for some great afternoons in the summer. Friday afternoon happy hours are fun too! I would put the Edison up against any other apartment complex in the Twin Cities. Apartments are big and you can't hear your neighbors. I would highly recommend living here!
I lived here for nearly 2 years before I had to move for work, and if I could do it over again, I would make the same choice without hesitation. Every interaction that I had with the staff at The Edison at Avonlea was pleasant and productive. All of the amenities were well-kept and high quality, and the building as a whole feels very fancy. I felt like I snuck into a really nice hotel and nobody was making me leave, if that makes any sense. My apartment unit itself was very nice: I was in the smallest unit they have, and it was very well laid out. My 700-something sq. ft. unit felt bigger than the 850 sq. ft. one that preceded it. The appliances were very new, the kitchen was seriously the nicest I've ever seen in an apartment, and the balcony was sunny and felt safe. There was some noise from the halls, as there would be anywhere, but I couldn't hear anything through the walls, and only occasionally from above. The one or two times that I had to call maintenance, they were prompt, polite, and very helpful. The only real downside to me is the location, and that is a matter of taste. I really loved my time at The Edison at Avonlea.
Amazing staff, great amenities, sparkling clean at all times, and friendly people.... very bittersweet to move out and start a new chapter. My two young boys were even sad to leave. We felt at home, taken care of, and maintenance was always on top of every aspect of the building. We loved living here and recommend it to anyone we know looking to rent in Lakeville!
We have been living here for quite some time now - we are on our third lease with The Edison at Avonlea. The beginning stages were a bit rocky as staff grew into their roles. We renewed our lease in our former unit for one more year before deciding to move laterally and upgrade our unit to a two bedroom, two bath. We have been very satisfied with this unit, overall, despite the former tenants being a little rough on the finishes, inside cabinets, and the carpet. Aidan and Mike assisted and supported us in a noise complaint that started when we moved in Oct. 11, 2020 and continued until about the first week of February. Mike was gracious enough to come listen to what we heard every day, all day, and talked to the tenants above us. We had one full day of the same noise afterward and since then it’s been silence.
We are very grateful for Aidan and Mike for helping us with our new lease and making us feel heard. They went so far as to offer a different unit as an option when I had truly enough of the noise above us where it disturbed my quality of living. We couldn’t have appreciated that more.
Great place to live! The staff are friendly and the apartments are great. Everything is nice and clean. It feels almost more like a modern hotel than an apartment building. It exceeded my expectations. There's an exercise room and also a studio where you can do virtual classes or stretch, etc. There's a pool, a courtyard with grills and turf for yard games, a small park for young kids, and a small dog park. I've really enjoyed my time here, everyone is so nice and it's a fun environment.
