The Moments Memory Care

Well said, Cheryl Kolz! She mentioned some of the many reasons why I feel blessed that my husband is cared for by the Moments team. They go above and beyond expectations to treat the residents and families with respect and integrity and provide an amazing environment for fellowship for all of us. Becoming friends with other family members, including Cheryl, has helped me tremendously during this difficult journey.

The very first day my husband moved into Moments I was introduced to other family members and was invited to attend their support group. Prior to then I had resisted the advice of many others to join a support group, including my husband's doctors. As it turns out, the group has become friends with whom I can share feelings and concerns without being judged and learn from each other's situations.

Moments Adventure Club is amazing. My husband has had the opportunity to, among other things, attend a Twins game, go fishing, tour the State capital, tour the hangers at the airport where he worked for 20 years. In fact he was even allowed to sit in a cockpit. These and so many other opportunities and activities have been put on hold this year for obvious reasons. But Moments has continued to provide activities for residents and families that offer stimulation, and encourage friendships.

By the way, moving my husband into Moments was incredibly easy and convenient. Their moving team took care of absolutely everything and when I brought my husband to his new home, his room was completely arranged and inviting.

One example of how they treat residents is how they helped my husband live in his world of dementia. He was used to wearing a security badge during his career at the airlines and each morning at Moments as he dressed he would look for it. The staff took it upon themselves to make him a "security badge" to attach to his clothing each morning which made him feel right at home. He continues to wear it since he continues to think he's at work. That "small" gesture by Moments has given me comfort.

The Moments is an excellent choice for my mother and our family in both care and community. The best asset is the quality, training and kindness of All staff members. Not only are they professional and knowledgeable of memory care with all of its unique requirements, they treat each resident with dignity and compassion. They are a community that welcomes each resident and their family members. The ownership is forward thinking in design and aesthetic of the building from layout to flooring to air quality to personalizing the entrance of each apartment to aid in resident recognition. The building is exceptionally clean, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Meals are prepared by an Executive Chef and served by staff who notices when a resident’s eating habits change and alert nursing and family if there is a concern. Family is welcome to join their loved one for a meal and also activities. Adventure Club offers many varied interests and activities outside of the community. Family is encouraged to visit and participate in activities. There is open communication with the Director of the community and the Director of Nursing along with weekly Zoom calls. The leadership of The Moments has been proactive during this last year to allow safe visits through many different forums. The Moments is a blessing if your loved one needs memory care.

Beautiful place inside and out! Experience is catered to each resident with delicious food and appropriate activities. Highly reccomend!

If I could I would rate this awesome memory care community with 10 stars!! LOVE and COMPASSION there is so amazing!! The staff make you feel like one of their family members!!
