  Closed at present, renovated Palm Court viewable & stunning. Lotus pond & lily pads are gorgeous now.

  Beautiful conservatory. Lovely assortment of flowers and plants, ranging from the desert to the rainforest. In the spring and summer, the magnificent displays of lilies and lotuses scatter the ponds today also have fish in them. The conservatory also hosts the annual holiday train show which is phenomenal.

  Many people have Christmas traditions that need to be completed in order for the holiday season to officially be complete. For me, one of the biggest and most important holiday traditions is making a sojourn into the depths of the Bronx to go to the New York Botanical Gardens for their annual train show.
  
  While the title might suggest hobbyists tinkering in their basements trying to set up H style track, this show is so much more than that - bringing together trains of all shapes sizes, local winter plants and model dioramas of NYC landmarks from past to present. Spread out between 4 rooms of the Haupt Conservatory, the train show mixes childhood whimsy with architectural brilliance, seeing model trains whizzing across NY Bridges and past tiny recreations of city architecture new and old.
  
  Although the tickets are timed, you're never rushed through the conservatory and have ample time to see each expertly crafted model in its fullest.

  A must see for anyone in the NY area. Bronx Botanical Gardens is a magnificent place! See their Christmas Train setup. Miles of track carefully planned and laid out. AMAZING!!!

  There's so much to see. Its very serene and peaceful. Its a good place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city!
