“The food was excellent! We ordered the Fowl, Dibi Lamb, plantain, Fufu, Jollof Rice, and it came with sides of a pickled onion. Everything was spiced and seasoned beautifully and had great flavor. The lamb was perfectly cooked and very fresh. I highly recommend! This is also a family spot - there was a woman working there and a young man (his mother owns the restaurant and they opened during the pandemic). They were all very nice (the young man brought our food out to our car!) Thank you for the excellent food!”

We had a blast got there before noon and were served brunch and dinner, by the time we left it was about 5pm and we were all feeling super saucy. It was good food, with nonstop mimosas and sangria. The atmosphere was everything, when they brought down the shades and brought up the music, you totally forgot it was still daylight out. Great time for sure!”

Nice to get mixed greens, instead of just romaine lettuce. They had a light lemon vinagrette on the salad. We really enjoyed our lunch. The food is pricey, but it was worth it. 30 for burgers and fries. The total bill was 59.00 with tax, and we would go back again. We enjoyed eating lunch at gardens for convenience and ambiance.”

The service was really good. There was one guy who had red hair that was very attentive and friendly! Give that mofo a raise! A lot of places can’t even do decent fries but to have both good calamari &fresh … I felt like I was in city island for a sec no lie because I recently ordered the same in city island and their fries were skinny not so great. Today I ordered the shark nuggets for the first time with fries … GREAT only complaint I have is they don’t give lemon slices which is needed ! I think it’s extra but they do take EBT for the hot food with a small cash fee 2-3$. What I didn’t like : My waitress was trying to up sell. For example, suggestions of extra shot in my drink. I am willing spend money regardless. Please don’t persuade me. There was no heat in the restaurant. I had to keep my sweater and coat on while enjoying my dinner. Overall , I do recommend to bring money and expect to spend it. It is worth it though. I also got a homemade tamarind juice. So yummy!! Definitely recommend getting a couple more sauces for the quinoa/bottom ($1 extra for more sauce).”
