During my prenatal care I met with a couple OBs, and ultimately decided to be seen by the midwife, Jessica, who is wonderful. Everyone was great, though! The staff at the birth center couldn't have been more kind, caring, and all around a great birth team. I had a water birth and it was truly a one of a kind experience. I can't thank the team at Northfield enough, I wish I could have had all my babies here!”

“Dr. Helgen is my primary care physician while I attend school at St. Olaf College. She is very punctual to appointments (I typically wait in the waiting room for less than five minutes, and the examination room between the nurse and Dr. Helgen for less than two.) and so far been an excellent healthcare provider. She is very knowledgeable and never prescribes any treatment that is not necessary. While appointments with Dr. Helgen seem very short, she takes the time to effectively explain what your symptoms mean, and what she will and will not do to treat the underlying causes, as well as how you can help to alleviate the symptoms.”
