Menards

Love going to menards. You gotta have a bit of an idea of what you need when you go. Most employees don't have a lot of knowledge, but I have found some very helpful, knowledgeable people. Pickup in back, which is nice compared to the Homeless Despot.

Like most big retailers your experiences are generally good sometimes okay. However I will say that at this Menards in the decking area Bob is an outstanding guy to work with. And in the paint area Matt is an outstanding guy to work with. Thank you to both for helping me do the job right into the highest level of quality and craftsmanship.

Nice store with some problems. Big store lots of items. Problems finding items even with employees help. Solution is to look up each item on Website (which is nice), check stock and add to chopping cart. When finished print shopping cart and bring printout to store. Hard to find items on printout can be looked up by SKU on computer and located in store by employees. Use this a lot especially with long shopping lists of small items. Like Website, use all the time. Would be nice if it displayed items location like Home Depot.

I haven't ever had an issue with Menards. They always have a good selection at good prices, and generally the employees are very helpful. I cannot say the same about the OTHER home department store down the street from this location. If you are faced with a choice between the two, I would personally recommend Menards. Chances are you're gonna have a much better shopping experience and probably save a buck or two.
