Clean bathrooms facilities nice beach very helpful staff
Really nice place for a picnic. You can kayak, canoe or rowboat. The staff is really helpful and caring. Enjoyed canoeing.
This is a pretty good launch. Two lanes and lots of parking. I have seen non trailered vehicles parked in the trailer spots which is very frustrating on busy days. The courtesy dock isn't right next to launch but you can also just beach your boat (it's all sand and no rock on the bottom).
You will most likely have to back into the parking spot which can be tricky if you don't have a lot of experience. It's not too busy even on very nice days and the lake is pretty big.
6 dollar parking. Busy lake. Well kept facilities (where your friends Lincoln and Washington go...) with a good concrete launch.
Some days this launch is very busy. We have a Three Rivers Park District season pass so we use it fairly often. The park district limits the number of boats that can put in from the launch, so on very busy days you must wait until there is a trailer parking spot available. This Wednesday (August 19, 2020) at 3:00 PM it was deserted. A few boats showed up at 5:30 but still not busy. It was a fairly windy day so the only real option was tubing. Lake Independence at Baker Park is a small lake but we like it.
