First non-chlorinated public pool in North America. It uses a regeneration basin with plants and microbes to biologically filter and clean the water. Every 12 hours all 500,000 gallons cycle through. After closing each evening, robotic vacuums cleanse the pool bottom of algae. This is a beautifully landscaped natural pool and admission is free. It is a zero depth entry pool with a diving platform, a few lanes for lap swimming ($3), and a wading area. Bathrooms and lockers are available, as is an outdoor shower at poolside. Pool hours are afternoons and lifeguards are on duty. This is a gem in the heart of Minneapolis.
A perfect blend between pool and lake. The water was clean. There was no charge for the lap pool even though the website said it was $3. We were told the lap pool is 25 m. Next time I will bring a tape measure because I have never swam so fast.
