Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church

I have been a part of OLP for almost 25 years (since I was born). As I have grown, OLP has grown with me. From big moments to the small ones, these Eagles have always been there in full force-with love & support. It is a place I am proud to call home. Father Ellis and the staff are more than welcoming and want to ensure that each parishioners needs are met. They are always happy to see new faces, as well as old ones. Young, old, and everything in between this is the place to come and celebrate at. We are always hosting new, fun neighborhood events and are here every Sunday. Come join us!

My family and I have called Our Lady of Peace and South Minneapolis home for the past 7 years. The parish community, a mix of young and old, long-time members and newcomers, welcomed us wholeheartedly. Their love of Christ and neighbor truly shines in their joy and devotion to worship, faith formation, service and outreach to the parish, school and local communities. In our time here, we have made new connections and lasting friendships and have experienced the support of a loving, faith-filled community.

Our Lady of Peace is a wonderful, warm, friendly and inviting community right in the heart of my beautiful South Minneapolis neighborhood. I’ve been a parishioner of OLP for quite some time and truly love the atmosphere and the people. Fr. Ellis is an amazing pastor and his staff are always available and anxious to help and serve. Whether you are new to the neighborhood, or a long time resident, stop by and worship with us! Experience a little bit of heaven on earth!

Our Lady of peace community did a beautiful job of welcoming us over 20 years ago! We were looking for a parish that would be good for family life and part of that was finding a home where we could serve. We were lovingly invited into serving in a number of ways that fit our gifts and ability to give. Our five children were all baptized and welcomed into the community here. Through faith formation and relationships, they have grown to know their Catholic faith, be generous with their gifts and most especially to grow in their relationship with the Lord. Our Lady of Peace walks the talk! We feel the love of Jesus through the community and are grateful to walk with them in the Catholic Faith.

We joined when we were new to the neighborhood. Great community. Fr Joah is awesome and the staff do an incredible job, highly recommend. Join!!
