A bit of the forest right in the heart of the city. The trails go on for miles. If you have the energy you can walk 22 miles from Lake Minnetonka to the river.
This is a beautiful place to get away while staying in the cities!
Best park in the city! If you go to the dog park section (best dog park in the city!), make sure you have the dog park permit, it's an expensive ticket! Beware on the weekends, LOTS of inexperienced dog park people/dogs :( last weekend a dog that REALLY shouldn't have been there went after my dog and spooked him so bad he got lost, terrifying 5 hours till he was found! (Screw you lady)
Two tennis courts and nature paths. A good place overall, basically it's a small stretch of a much larger network of walking and biking trails that run along the creek. There's great shops and stop by Tom's Popcorn Shop for the best fire roasted popcorn in Minneapolis.
Took the dogs for an adventure on a beautiful day. The water was as low as I've seen it, which was an interesting contrast to last year when it looked like you could ride inner tubes for a really long way if the fast-moving current wasn't so scary.
It was a really nice walk, met some very nice people, and my dogs were very happy.
