“We visit this market regularly to get their split chicken breast. It is the best chicken we've had; the smell, taste and texture is far superior to what you get in the supermarkets. We've only had the chicken, but they offer a wide variety of cuts of meat that we plan to try out. The market also has a selection of things like: produce, dry goods, canned goods, marinades, spices, candy, snacks, and freshly made salsas, tamales and desserts. As far as customer service goes, their employees are all helpful and pleasant to deal with.”

“I felt I had to write a good review and defend Great Northern. Sure, it's an older place, with fun, quirky older people (and cats) hanging about..it's the real deal. I thought the owner was very kind, chatty and happy to see others interested in the hobby. I mentioned I was looking for a Philco Predicta television, and he led me to his storage area, and sold me one for $45 ...far beneath the market price. I see other reviews saying he charged more for an unfinished radio than a finished one, but guess what..unfinished (unmolested) radios can be worth more to collectors than glossy refinished ones... he is straight up in his pricing, and he is right..you can spend quite a bit of money restoring a radio.. it's a lot of specialized work that few people can do now.. I am a mid- level collector and hope he is around for years to come.”

“Really cute & eclectic little shop that is INSIDE the lofts there. Thank goodness there was a sign that said to call on the call box because I definitely didn’t think I was in the right spot. I went on a Sunday an hour before closing & it was busy in there! I liked the bin/pile at the back so I could find some good deals. The items marked/priced that were hanging we quite a bit outside my price range. For example, a lot of the old graphic Tees were $40+. Tons of more gender neutral and very casual finds - I was hoping to find a dress or skirt but those items were slim pickings. Thank you for having a dressing room as well! (It’s the little curtained off area at the front)”

“Key West Bistro is located in one of my favorite areas of South Minneapolis and I visit as frequently as I can. Close to the light rail and other fantastic spots to grab food at. The owner is lovely and I really appreciate the thought that went into creating a space that doesn’t look like every other coffee shop in the Twin Cities. I started with an iced cafe con leche and it was SO GOOD and arguably the best drink to grab on a warm day. Followed up by a Cuban that was crunchy on the outside, pressed down to perfection and soft on the inside. Loved the pork, ham, cheese, mustard and pickles - all very authentic tasting, down to the sour pickles, which is KEY here. I’m a South Florida native who has lived in the twin cities for 6 years now. Finding Cuban food and Cuban coffee is not easy around here. Thanks for bringing back some great memories from my younger years with my most recent visit.”
