Davanni's Pizza & Hot Hoagies

Address: 5124 Gus Young Ln, Minneapolis, MN 55436, USA

Meal delivery Restaurant

“Fun place to gather in a larger group. Pretty tasty pizza overall, but wish the toppings were more abundant (which is typical of all places though).”

The Lowbrow

Address: 4244 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55409, USA

Restaurant

“This might have been the best restaurant experience I’ve had in the last decade. The waiter was SO nice and accommodating. He saw I was wearing a backpack and asked if he could clear off a table in the corner for me to do some work. It was so nice 🤗 The market salad was also incredible (sweet potato, cranberry and goat cheese) 👏👏👏”

Sea Salt

Address: 4825 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55417, USA

Restaurant

“Fried shrimp was the star of our meal. My husband enjoyed his scallop tacos and then helped finish off the tacos. We went late afternoon, it wasn't busy and there was plenty of seating but I can tell the place gets really busy. If you're a beer drinker, there is plenty to choose from, Surly has a station next door and people enjoy standing in line and sipping. Highly recommend!”

Berry Sweet Kitchen

Address: 5406 S 34th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55417, USA

Restaurant

“Having to order at the counter is a bit odd for the price of the food but the food makes it worth the oddness for sure. Biscuits and gravy with hash browns and eggs was excellent. Oddly enough my favorite part was the hash browns - done to perfection! My wife had the everything omelette and it was delicious. Loaded with flavor and more food than she could eat. We didn't have a Mimosa but the idea was there 😆.”

Shabelle Ethiopian Grocery and Restaurant

Address: 2325 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406, USA

Cafe Supermarket Restaurant Store

“Amazing dishes and perfect I recommend you this place, which reminds you of the traditional tradition with its magnificent decor and structure, and makes you feel warm with the taste of the food.”

Restaurant

Hi-Lo Diner

Address: 4020 E Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55406, USA

Restaurant

“Visited on a Saturday morning - be prepared for a wait (or if you’re lucky you can snag a bar stool at the counter)! Food was amazing and worth the wait. Fantastic coffee. Great atmosphere. The country gravy was worth writing home about. Will be back every time I’m in town.”

Tori 44 - Ramen

Address: 2203 N 44th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55412, USA

Restaurant

“yummy fried kimchi! great gf options as well as non gf options. very large portions, so plan on splitting or having leftovers! odd parking lot.”

Cardinal Restaurant and Bar

Address: 2920 E 38th St, Minneapolis, MN 55406, USA

Restaurant

“I was drawn into the Cardinal because of feel that surrounded the outside of it. A hub of activity with public transportation dropping all sorts of human conditions off from busses and trains but also bicycles, cars and bushes too! A bit dark and dingy inside. More restaurant than bar and only beer for alcohol I had forgotten that these places were still around. A couple of domestic pints rang in at $8.50. It wasn’t crowded but their set really only has 6 or 7 seats at the bar and flows right into restaurant seating with chi a bit off to me. Service was fine with that little bit rough around the edges charm coming raising others kids for most of life. I’ll swing in another time. Maybe take the train and check out their food as they’ve been around awhile so something’s been done right.”

Cave Vin

Address: 5555 Xerxes Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55410, USA

Restaurant

“My wife and I had the pleasure of going to Cave Vin for the first time. We were looking for a hidden gem restaurant we haven’t been to before and are so happy we went here. The service was incredible and the food delicious. Best tartare I’ve ever had. I don’t know much about wine but enjoyed tasting what my wife ordered. They seem to have a great selection. We can’t wait to come back again!”

Grande Sunrise Seafood and Mexican Restaurant

Address: 5554 S 34th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55417, USA

Restaurant

“Very welcoming 'family' atmosphere. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Horchata was fantastic and the birria was superb. Some of the more Americanized dishes left a little wanting in terms of flavor, but large portions made up for that.”

La Mesa

Address: 230 Cedar Lake Rd S, Minneapolis, MN 55405, USA

Restaurant

“Great dinner. Quicker than I expected. Got the cioppino (on special) and the LaMesa burger. Both excellent. The salsas we're both delicious too. Friendly and efficient server!”

Key West Bistro

Address: 2803 E 38th St, Minneapolis, MN 55406, USA

Cafe Restaurant Bakery Store

“Key West Bistro is located in one of my favorite areas of South Minneapolis and I visit as frequently as I can. Close to the light rail and other fantastic spots to grab food at. The owner is lovely and I really appreciate the thought that went into creating a space that doesn’t look like every other coffee shop in the Twin Cities. I started with an iced cafe con leche and it was SO GOOD and arguably the best drink to grab on a warm day. Followed up by a Cuban that was crunchy on the outside, pressed down to perfection and soft on the inside. Loved the pork, ham, cheese, mustard and pickles - all very authentic tasting, down to the sour pickles, which is KEY here. I’m a South Florida native who has lived in the twin cities for 6 years now. Finding Cuban food and Cuban coffee is not easy around here. Thanks for bringing back some great memories from my younger years with my most recent visit.”

Mama Sheila's House of Soul

Address: 3744 Bloomington Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407, USA

Restaurant

“I was craving some soul food and decided to check out Mama Shelia’s for the first time. I did take out. I love how it’s a buffet line and you get to see then select what you want. Food is warm, fresh, and there is no wait to have the food cooked. The takeout is approx 7.59 or 7.99/lb. I got Mac and cheese, collards, fried chicken (4pieces), jerk chicken (1 piece), yams for $20. Me and my fiancé ate off of the plate together and were satisfied! I really loved the collards and fried chicken. It reminded of how my family in NC cooks soul food. I will return again hopefully during buffet hours”

Benihana

Address: 850 Louisiana Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55426, USA

Restaurant

“I’ve been to Benihana many times and each time the food is great. We have dined in, both with and without the cooking show and we’ve done carry out as well. We’ve also made reservations for the party room which is nice because the door closes so you have more privacy. They also gave my parents a nice complimentary dessert when we went to celebrate their anniversary. The best part? The show is so much fun and there’s something enjoyable about watching someone make your food. The worst part? Although most chefs will do the same show, sometimes we’ve gotten chefs that aren’t as much fun or not very enthusiastic so it’s not as exciting. You won’t know what kind of chef you’ll have until you get there.”

Jewel Of India

Address: 1427 S Washington Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55454, USA

Restaurant

“Plzzz check this place out! My friends and I really enjoyed this place. Fantastic food and service! Mango/strawberry lassi, garlic naan, and both of the curries were amazing:)) Definitely gonna revisit this place!”

City Afrique Restaurant

Address: 4326 N Lyndale Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55412, USA

Restaurant

“Before COVID the atmosphere was cool, very family oriented. I drive 1hr 45min to get this food! Very reasonable on the price. And it never disappoint, they are simply one of the best in Minnesota. They also always remember me even after years of not visiting.”

Jakeeno's Pizza & Pasta

Address: 3555 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407, USA

Meal takeaway Meal delivery Restaurant

“Stellar service, amazing waitress. The indoor size is a bit small but cozy! This is a family friendly place. Our table ordered pastas and they all were delicious. The rigatoni was heaping. They serve beer bottles and drafts and wine. Dessert is also available. There is off-street parking, if needed. I was told there is outdoor seating when weather permits and there appeared to be a back patio door. Highly recommend for the food!”

The Kenwood Restaurant

Address: 2115 W 21st St, Minneapolis, MN 55405, USA

Restaurant

“New American spot in a quaint neighborhood. Came here for a big group brunch (12 people) at noon and we had a reservation made beforehand. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Everyone working was super friendly. Gender-neutral single occupant restrooms are available in the back righthand side of the restaurant. Credit cards accepted. They do serve alcohol (including mimosas). We were told that the egg Benedict was one of the most popular things to get. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and they came as a side. The chicory salad was a bit bitter but there was a ton of finely grated cheese atop the greens.”

Wakame Sushi & Asian Bistro

Address: 3070 Excelsior Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55416, USA

Restaurant

“Been coming here since day 1. George and his crew run a top notch sushi restaurant. Best in the twin cities. No question. Sushi is still as delicious as it's was long ago. Outdoor seating has a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Highly recommend the avacado salad and the Wakame roll. The place was packed and our order came out in reasonable time. Thanks”

Scott Ja-Mama's

Address: 3 W Diamond Lake Rd, Minneapolis, MN 55419, USA

Restaurant

“Got a great deal using Upside, so I ventured into the great unknown, vast metropolis of Minneapolis, using my GPS, and found this little hole-in-the wall rib joint. Personality plus! I think there was parking behind the building, but I opted to walk from a side street. I really liked the mild bbq ribs, twice baked potato 1/2, and the somewhat petite cuplet of coleslaw. Only one small table, and not really an eat in sort of place, so my only co.plaint, which only about my circumstances, not their food, was that I didn't get to eat it hot. I didn't know where to stop and eat, so ended going all the home. I'll plan to find a park nearby, before I get the food, so I can have peak enjoyment! Quirky MN memorabilia covered the walls, so plenty to peruse while waiting a few minutes for your food! Nice people. Going to go again!”

Dominguez Family Restaurant

Address: 3313 E 50th St, Minneapolis, MN 55417, USA

Restaurant

“Great experience, delicious nachos, we were just a little surprised by the prices. We support the family business and will be back. We also loved the frozen and flavored margaritas. As you’d imagine, the chips and salsa are addicting and we kept asking for more!”

Cedar Commons

Address: 3040-3070 Excelsior Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55416, USA

Shopping mall Restaurant Store

“I stopped in to Ben & Jerry's today for their Fee Ice Cream Cone Day and the shop was situated in the Calhoun Commons Shopping Center!! There were some long lines there for the Ice Cream but it went really fast ~ I also bought 3 pints of 🍦 Ice Cream of Toffee Bar Chocolate Chunk Espresso and a Brownie Delight Ice Cream and brought back one of them for my Dog Groomer who was grooming my two dogs at the time... A fun little Surprise for him and his Girlfriend! There were some other fun restaurants and shops in the shopping center also! It was a very cute and trendy area right across the street from Lake Calhoun and the walking path Trail over there! I will take my Hubby back there and check out some of the other Restaurants and shops and go for a walk along the Lake!!”

Ted Cook's 19th Hole BBQ

Address: 2814 E 38th St, Minneapolis, MN 55406, USA

Restaurant

“Ted Cooks has great BBQ food at a reasonable price. First, their house BBQ sauce is incredible. Sweet, tangy, and with some heat to it as well (you can specify heat level in the sauce). The half chicken was juicy with great smokey flavor. The ribs had a nice dry rub on them and great flavor as well. I also enjoyed the spicy sausage and jojos combo plate. I will stop in again just based on their delicious BBQ sauce alone! This place knows how to do BBQ right. They’ve been at it for such a long time too!”

Papa's Cafe

Address: 7181 N 42nd Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55427, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Papa’s Cafe is a privately owned authentic diner. It felt a bit like I had time traveled when I entered. The menu includes a variety of breakfast and lunch/supper options - all very Americana. I got the Mexican Chorizo Omelette with hash browns and pumpernickel toast. It was all fresh and tasty. The omelette was fluffy. The portion was generous, without being overwhelming. The servers were professional. The space offers a bank of classic diner stools facing the kitchen as well as comfortable booths and a variety of tables. Everything is simple. Everything is clean. Free parking right outside the diner. Although I had read other reviews saying the pricing is relatively cheap, that was not my experience. My omelette and ice tea cost over $16 before the tip. It was really good - but not cheap (therefore a 4 rather than 5 star review). The venue is perfect for a meal with family and/or friends. I recommend it.”

Taco Taxi

Address: 1511 E Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55407, USA

Restaurant

“The tacos are tiny but whoa! These little things have huge flavor! I hate to say it but these are probably the best tacos I've had in Minneapolis. I love and am a loyal customer to another taco joint but the flavor here at Taco Taxi is unbelievable. Unfortunately, with a taco truck it means no dining room, which sucks when there's snow out and you have to wait for your food, but the tacos are so worth the wait. I feel like I'm cheating on my usual taco place but they are busy enough and probably won't miss me. I will be back for these amazing little guys!”

Elsie's

Address: 729 Marshall St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413, USA

Bowling alley Restaurant

“Iconic NE Mpls bowling alley, bar, and restaurant. Plenty of lanes, tables, and parking. We enjoyed the onion rings… but the Brussels sprouts (photo included) were out of this world!! Also, we enjoyed having a drink and watching some of the league bowlers, one even scored 290. Elsie’s is the place!”

Sociable Cider Werks

Address: 1500 Fillmore St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413, USA

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Nice beer garden with a small but solid selection of beers and cider. The staff are fast and courteous. It just happens to be trivia night. The food truck outside have a small and overpriced menu, or I would give this five stars. Overall it's a nice place.”

The Lynhall No. 2640 LynLake

Address: 2640 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55408, USA

Restaurant Cafe

“Awesome brunch spot. The pastries are made in-house and some of the best I’ve ever had which is saying a lot. The matcha cinnamon bun melts in your mouth. The bottomless drip coffee is a bit spendy at $4.50 but so smooth and I got plenty of refills. We tried the Braised Bison Hash, Rye Crepes, and a daily special of duck omelette. I highly recommend all of them. The crepes are definitely a sweeter option but so good. Plenty of seating space and big windows. There were a few people working on laptops while we were there. There was no wait for us on a Saturday morning around 11am. They do add a 5% service charge to the check that is not gratuity. Can’t wait to come back.”
