Bernie's Montessori School

I have been very happy with the quality of care provided by Bernie's. Their staff are kind and caring and they don't seem to have the high turnover we have seen elsewhere.

Bernie’s Montessori has been the perfect spot for our two children. Both kids can’t wait to see their friends and teachers in the morning, and they’re sad to leave at the end of the day! Our one child is so ready for kindergarten in the fall thanks to the Montessori approach used at the school. She’s reading, writing, and excited to learn! We can’t believe how much our two year old already knows; he loves singing songs that he’s learned at school and telling us about the numbers and colors he knows. We absolutely recommend Bernie’s Montessori for anyone who is looking for a warm and welcoming environment for their kids to learn and grow.

Our daughter was fortunate enough to attend Bernie's Montessori as one of the first toddlers in the Toddler Classroom, from the age of 18 months. She flourished attending the school, and was showered with love and attention from the Director, Samanthi, her lovely teacher, Ms Komal, and her classmates, not only in her class, but also the pre-school class. Within weeks of going to Bernie's, our daughter came home reciting her ABC's, counting, recognizing animals, shapes and colors, and loved organizing and cleaning up after herself. She was excited to go to school in the morning, practically running to the front door of her classroom. Even in a Covid world, we always felt very comfortable with her attending the school. We are sad that we had to leave Bernie's, and only did because we relocated to a new state. If we hadn't have moved, we would have loved for our daughter to attend Bernie's for many years to come. I can't recommend the school and their toddler class, enough. Thank you Bernie's Montessori.

We had our two children at Bernie’s in Richfield since they were each 3 months old. I really can’t overstate how much I loved this school, the owner, and the women who work here. I was always confident leaving our children in their care (especially when I was a brand new mom), and even moreso as they aged through the different rooms and the teachers’ connection to our family grew stronger. The other families at the school are wonderful and welcoming. And because no review would be complete without a mention of cost, Bernie’s is very reasonably priced compared with other childcare options in south Minneapolis/Richfield. I strongly recommend Bernie’s to anyone looking for warm, caring, and affordable childcare.

My son has been attending Bernie’s Montessori school downtown for over a year. I am sad to see him leave such a great school. The teachers were great the entire time preparing him for kindergarten. Thanks to Miss Emily for everything! This school has went above and beyond, even with COVID-19 I have always felt my son was in great hands. Thank you Bernie’s!
