“I recently purchased skate skis and classic skis and boots and bindings at Gear West, in Long Lake, MN. The staff is knowledgeable, kind, and extremely helpful. The two sales people I worked with explained the details of the skis and boots and fitted me carefully. They always show me at least two different pairs of skis or boots during the process. The store has occasional discount sales, which I was, indeed, able to take advantage of… I highly recommend Gear West to both beginner skiers, and advanced and expert skiers for a wide selection of cross country ski equipment….”

“Not at all bad as far as Walmarts go, they seem to be generally well stocked on the shelves but for delivery they seem to be running out of things quite frequently these days. Perhaps this is normal. But the staff is generally nice, but the one thing I do notice is for there to be a tendency for staff members to be reticent and a little bit shy in regard to offering help or helping people. This could be just because of the neighborhood being somewhat of a rough neighborhood and this part of Minneapolis and people just aren't open to lending a hand to someone they don't know quite so quickly. Being a disabled individual, this does come across as something to be aware of. However on the positive side, being disabled individual, I have noticed that there are almost always more than enough electric carts available.”

Expert tailoring services on-site. Great spot for very nice dress shirts. While not cheap, it is fairly for high-end Men's Wear. Fast turnaround on tailoring. Long established business with a great owner who goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy. In my opinion much better than local Department Stores or Men's clothing chains.”

“Wonderful quality! Excellent attention to detail. His kilt received a number of compliments. A miscommunication caused an unexpected delay in my order. The customer service department (Kaurina in particular) went above and beyond to get us our kilt in time for the wedding. As a custom made garment it takes about a month to arrive in the USA. !!REMEMBER TO MEASURE CORRECTLY!! Use a fabric measuring tape. Kilts fit totally different than pants (my husband wears a 32 pant but his kilt size is 35, and even that is quite snug at the belly/hips). I highly recommend The Celtic Croft.”
