Campground Park Lodging

“My wife and I were delighted to find this location this summer as we looked for a seasonal spot for next year. We were blessed with an opening in mid August of this year that allowed us to "get a feel" for the park before committing to next year. We were pleased to have more social interaction in our first few hours here than we had in 10 weeks at another location we stayed in for the first part of the summer. Overall, it's about 180 sites. Each with ample room to "set up camp". The property includes trails through hundreds of acres of woods, prairie, wetlands, and lakes to explore. Trails can be accessed by golf carts or on foot to see a bounty of wildlife. It's a busy, social, friendly, and active environment on the weekends and quiet during the week with friendly encounters with those who spend weekdays. As manager, Dana is always responsive to questions. Other staff (Shelly, Heidi, Dan, and Mark) are all friendly and very helpful in their areas of work for the campground. The entire team seems very cohesive an focused on serving the Springvale Campground community. Other reviews cite change in ownership, rules, and management. While this can be challenging for some, it's can also enlightening to others. The vision for the future of Springvale Campground may be different from the past, but that isn't necessarily bad. It will come with some pain for a few and adjustments for others. But my impression is that current owners and management is committed to a smooth and gradual plan for the future. We're anxious to see what happens here over the next few years. Thanks for welcoming us to our summer home for the foreseeable future.”

“Beautiful little wildlife management park area! There are a couple small walk paths along the Rum River that follow along the shoreline through a nestle of trees and end up going through a gorgeous natural wildflower are that is just breathtaking at any time of the year. They have a really nice Pavillion area for grilling equipped with picnic tables, trash cans, and even an old fashioned well pump that actually works! There is also nice little playground area for the kiddos to play at. There is a small, gravel public boat launch area, and a gravel lot that will hold about 12 vehicles. They also have a Biffy or two.”
