JR is one of the most sincere and compassionate man in this business! He took the time I needed met with me after hours to plan my wife's memorial!!! He was very attentive to what I wanted and needed for my wife! If I had a question he was very on top of it. The place is very relaxing and comforting. Everything turned out perfect!!

Oakwood Funeral is the top notch in professionalism and very attentive with the care during the loss of my mother.The Director/Owner JR, and complete staff is exact with every detail. The Oakwood facility is incredibly beautiful and welcoming. Attentive; from our first initial meeting to the days following all questions and inquiries were responded to promptly. My family never had one concern as each small detail was held in the highest regard. Our entire family felt their profound professionalism at all times. In addition, our guest at the funeral also commented and observed this beautiful tribute of compassion, professionalism given to the entire family during the loss of my mother. There is no amount of words to describe the experience I had with JR and oak wood funeral home. I’ll start by saying this, I am a 24 year old who had the responsibility of putting together a celebration of life for my grandmother with no help. I had no clue what I was doing while trying to put this together and mourn my grandmother. I walked in for a tour and JR made what my grandmother wanted come to life. Not only was he professional, but very passionate. JR is the kind of owner who actually wants to get to know you and your loved one who passed. He wasn’t in it just for the money and it showed with the empathy, the way he presented himself, and the professionalism he displayed. He made everything so easy and smooth during this difficult time. I will forever be grateful for his work and dedication to help someone so young rest their grandmother. 100/10 rating from me! JR and his staff did an excellent job helping us honor our father at the visitation, the church and the cemetary.
The funeral home is clean and inviting with bright colors and many areas to gather with friends and family. The space accommodated many guests. He has a private locked room for family to keep their belongings or take time away as needed.
JR provided a link that was easy for us to drop photos in. The staff did an excellent job composing a nice video with our fathers favorite music to commemorate his life.
JR was prompt with all communication with all of us and guided us with compassion through a difficult time for a large grieving family to make decisions.
We would highly recommend Oakwood.

Me and my family had a great experience at Oakwood Funeral. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. Everybody at Oakwood treated us with respect and consideration. The staff was very accommodating with our needs and the fire pit outside was very perfect for my family and friends in remembrance of my mom (she loved fires). I loved how JR made it feel more comfortable with all the senses, smell, candles, lighting and the surround sound and visual of the tv screen. They also have a nice room for a lunch or dinner gathering. JR was very accommodating on what we needed and wanted. I am very happy he made everything easier in my time of need.
