St. Anthony Health & Rehabilitation

My wife, Phyllis Johnson is writing this post.
I have been home now for more than 5 weeks. I still miss my nurses and some special nurses aids. I received excellent care and have no major complaints. The food is really not bad and offers a well balanced diet including frequent fresh fruit and desserts every day. When I put my call light on, aids or nurses were usually quick to respond. It's pretty quiet here at home, and sometimes I miss being at St. Anthony. I'm not saying everything was perfect, but they were very good to me and really seemed to care and wanted to make me comfortable. The Therapy department and the laundry service was also very good.
Thanks to all for your hands on care and pleasant personality. I was also very impressed with the Chaplain who came to visit me.

My sister Ms. M is at this nursing home and she told me that she liked it when I asked her. From my perspective, although limited to that of a visitor, I really, really like it. The staff has been very friendly and helpful since day one. When I first did visit, approximately 1.5 years ago, they had just put together a new menu which featured a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables...I was so impressed. My sis had come from a nursing home where everything was canned and heated up, it was horrible. What else do I like about St. Anthony. It is a physically beautiful facility and it smells good. There is a nice outdoor area one can go to. There is always fresh water flavored by lemons or cucumbers and fresh coffee when one comes in. I am so pleased that my sister is in a place that is clean, friendly, beautiful, and above all else--Safe. Thank you very much.
