Great store! Cool owner. I bought several gifts and albums (both for myself) and will be back. Love hunting vinyl. This will be my first stop every time. I will be back!
Weather a long-time or budding audiophile, Ramble on Records is truly an oasis for all who to seek to quench their thirst for vinyl—and RoR is closer than you think.
Let’s just say you are somewhere around the Bloomington strip, you are closer to RoR than two other metro vinyl shops where parking can be a pain or your stuck outside waiting for an eternity just to get in the door. A trek to RoR means less traffic and a chill run south of the river. South metro burbs, yeah, it’s a no brainer. Make a run to the shop it’s closer than anything in the metro.
Large volumes of music past and present are thoughtfully staged throughout the store with ample room to move about with a extra space.
Steve, the proprietor, has a passion for music that really shows. Ask him about any of the hundreds of live performances he’s been experienced. Better yet, ask him for that
kick-a-s debut Led Zeppelin album. How about the iconic Herb Albert and the Tijuana Bass Whipped Cream & Other Delights, check! It’s there!
I have never left empty-handed. Prices are spot on. And the experience at Steve’s shop is always solid. The crew is totally chill and will help you out with information about exceptional albums for those building their stable of albums or can direct you to any artists offerings.
So weather its a bargain on a kitschy K-tel album from the 70’s or 80’s, or your you are seeking a coveted 180 gram pressing off the master disks or collector-grade release from your favorite artist—Ramble in Records has it. So get those keys, hop in the car and go get some analog into your life!
Great selection of new and old vinyl. Worth it to check it out.
Great and deep collection of used AND new vinyl. Very worth checking out.
I love their shop for the music AND the smoke ware. It’s a family owned store so it just feels really comfortable and local, I’m friends with the owner’s son. They have a massive selection of vinyl records and extra premium glass for your herbal remedies. Their prices are always fair, I love these guys. If you guys get around to reading this I hope you guys are doing well it’s been a while since I stopped in! 🌈
