“Nice park just south of Vivion road. Very well kept tennis courts. The basketball court, bike path and baseball field are pretty run down though.”

“Love the park. But it's a rare day when it's not over run by the hipster beer toting disc golfers. . . Here is hope they learn to take all their beer cans back home instead of generating all that trash for the park.”

“Happy Rock is a good place to run your dog; especially in the winter time when few people are there and the poison ivy and other "gotcha" plants and vines are dormant. I noticed PW cut back a lot of dead brush and trees which cleans the walking trail considerably.”

“It's weird to walk through a park where you can hear traffic from 169, and people talking on there cell phone outside of their apartment, but it was still a nice nature walk.”

“Nice, clean and well maintained. I like how it's connected to a walk, or hiking trail if you will, made of concrete that you can extend your walk. Nice for a dog walk”

“Great place to fish but irecomend coming late at night to fish for catfish. We use chicken liver and have caught four so far. They seem to bite around 7:00 to midnight when park closes. There are some big cat fish too we had one 1 over 2 feet. There are little dirt areas that make it easier to fish from and are flat. I recommend only cat fishing because all the bluegill are 2 inches .”

“Catfish are always there but they stock trout in the spring. Was a very nice place to go and relax but lately the city has let it go some. Still has nice sized catfish.”

“I love to walk here with the kiddos and play Pokemon... Although last night there were 2 homeless guys bathing in the fountain and sleeping on the grass after. I was kinda surprised.”

“Veterans of Clay County who were killed in action are honored with a memorial in Anita B. Gorman Park in Kansas City, Missouri. The Clay County Veterans Memorial Committee raised private funds to build the memorial, which contains names of veterans from Clay County killed in action since the Civil War. “Sovereign Wings,” a bronze eagle sculpture, is the focal point of the memorial. WSKF Architects worked with the Clay County Veterans Memorial Committee and the Kansas City, Missouri Parks and Recreation Commission to complete this iconic project.”
