Spacious and comfy! Eight adults easily had room to move around and more folks could have stayed the night. I would come back for a girls trip and stay here again!
I went to St Louis for a mix of business and pleasure, and wanted something different from the usual hotel experience. Wooden Weed came highly recommended by a friend of mine who travels frequently and I can now vouch for that recommendation! The ambiance was perfectly eclectic, and gave off the kind of chilled out vibe I was looking for. Clean and convenient, with a lot of modern conveniences but also the atmosphere and aesthetic of a home that’s been here for well over a century. The proprietor has a lot of stay options available beyond the standard crash & dash that include some spiritual and mind/body stuff. The option we chose included some choice sample items and courtesies and there were already some creature comforts and conveniences waiting for us when we arrived, which was a pleasant surprise. Something else that I thought was kind of cool were the little knick-knack shelves in the hall. We were encouraged to “take something, leave something” which I thought was a memorable touch, and right in line with the vibe of the place. There was also a nice selection of hole-in-the-wall type shopping and curiosity-type places, with some exceptional food as well. I was honestly surprised at how far but close downtown seemed to be. We took an Uber to the ballpark for the Cardnials game and it only took ~40 minutes (including the game time traffic). It was nice feeling so rural but also so close to StL and the Loop. If you like family options beyond the excellent dining, Six Flags and Raging River are even closer than downtown. It really was just a top flight experience all the way around. I look forward to my next trip to the Lou, I’ll definitely be coming back to Wooden Weed. I would give it more than 5 stars, but unfortunately Google only allows for 5. So 5/5 Google approved stars, 10/5 from me :)
Cannot recommend this place enough. Has an incredible stylized aesthetic that’s chic, warm and inviting. It’s clean, comfy, and had a well stocked kitchen-everything you could need and then some. Bed was made just right and I slept like a baby. Will definitely be a repeat visitor of this hidden gem.
Such a charming house with great history! We spent the night for a girl's trip, and it was perfect for our group. The beds and linens were super comfy, the kitchen was well stocked for us to cook in, and there was plenty of room for our group of 6. The host was very attentive to all our questions and needs! Will definitely look to book again in the future!
