“Dr. Doug Herriott truly restored my vision. I have lasik surgery induced keratoconus. As a result my corneas are thinned/thinning and the surfaces of both eyes bulge, causing extreme distortion of vision. Originally I elected to have lasik surgery because I had near-sightedness and astigmatism. Post-surgery I struggled with severely decreasing vision for 10+ years. I was bounced from doctor to doctor with myriad suggestions for treatment. They didn't understand keratoconus and nothing worked. It is not possible to correct my vision with glasses or traditional contacts. I couldn't read anything close up or far away. My driving was limited to my neighborhood, only along a well known route. My kids played sports, performed in school music groups, graduated. I couldn't see any of that, really. I'm an artist. I couldn't make art. In 2014 I saw Dr. Doug Herriott for the first time. He did a thorough examination, prescribed scleral contact lenses, or prosthetics, and changed my life. Dr. Herriott understands keratoconus, makes it a priority to keep current with technology, fits contacts with skill and artistry and truly cares to help his patients see. “This hotel is more like 3.5 stars. It’s very nice and clean, the beds are super comfy! Breakfast was delicious with a decent variety of foods, hot and fresh. The only drawbacks would be that the pool did not seem heated (a main reason why we went) and using your key card as a light switch? (Long explanation but it’s worth noting) - This was probably the biggest inconvenience of our room. The key holder for the light is located near the main door and controls the foyer area and the bathroom lights. I understand wanting to be energy efficient but it seems like having a 30 second timer for two lights uses more power (switching on and off) than just keeping it on for 3-5mins and no you cannot just keep the key in the holder for longer amounts of time, it will still turn off after 30sec. That is barely enough time to use the bathroom + wash your hands. I cannot imagine how frustrating taking a shower would be. The only person who didn’t seem to mind playing with the key holder/light switch was my seven year old son.”

“This clinic is filled with people who seem to genuinely care about animals. They made sure my cat was as comfortable as they could make her. They were careful not to cause her any additional discomfort over what she was already feeling from her injury. They were considerate of my feelings and emotional state and did their best to assure me that she would be ok. Everything having to do with her care and health was explained to me in a manner that I could understand. This was one of the best veterinary experiences we have had and we will continue to take our girl here as long as she lives.”

“This was the best service I've had in a long time. We were over an hour away from home and our car started overheating. We called a few places that Google said was close but no one could help. When we called Midas at first they said yeah you can drop it off but it's Friday and we probably won't get to it today. When we asked if he knew of anyone that could get his in right away as we were not familiar with the area. He asked where are were from and said well in that case get here as soon as you can and we will help you. We got there and not even 10 mins later our car was up on the lift. We needed a belt replaced and thermostat and they changed my oil and filter. My husband had just got discharged from the hospital and car over heated going to get him and I knew we wouldn't make it home. So very thankful they answered the phone and helped us out. Guy at the the counter who answered phone, I almost hugged him. He was awesome!It was a $500. Fix but worth it to get back home and not have to stay in a hotel all weekend.”
