There is a walking path I walk almost everyday here. If you walk out and back on the path to the left it totals one mile, the path to the right is half a mile.
Nice place to take a walk, good feel for the wetlands, worth checking out. A place to launch a kayak on bean lake as well
A cool pull off the road Conservation Area. A marshland preserved area next to Bean Lake once explored by Lewis and Clark. A little drive along side Bean Lake with a couple of pull off areas. You can load in a boat into the lake from this area. A good area for viewing waterfowl and wildlife. Ending in a graveled parking lot where you can walk a very nice paved trail to 2 viewing areas. Sycamore and cottonwood trees line the trails. The viewing blind at the end of the trail had been removed from the moorings for some reason? We didn't make it the observation tower, but look forward to going there next time, hope it's not torn down. Nice peaceful area! No picnic tables or eating areas. No facilities.
