Bandana's Bar-B-Q St Ann, MO

My 1st time to St Louis, so I thought I'd try some BBQ! Service was great, beer was cold. Green beans tasted good, but was expecting something more BBQ oriented. Garlic bread was good. Pork was delicious. I tried each of the 5 BBQ sauces, none stood out as exceptional. The real disappointment was the burnt ends. They were cooked well and tender, but they were smothered in a heavy BBQ sauce, similar to a kraft BBQ sauce. Really took any chance to taste the meat out of it.

I decided to check out bandana's while I was on a layover flight & wow... everything on the plate was amazing the ribs were juicy & flavorful. The burnt tips are easily one of the best pieces of meat I've ever had it literally just melts in your mouth. The vibe & staff were incredible definitely coming back next time I'm in town.

There's a lot to say about this place. I've only been here once and I ordered the Burnt Ends lunch platter. It was surprisingly good. Actual brisket, not pork belly, and a mix of point and flat so plenty of variety. Enough meat I didn't finish my plate. I ordered the baked beans and side salad. The beans were good and had brisket in them, the salad was iceberg, cheese and a few tomatoes; I didn't waste my time with the salad.

Prices were a little steep but that seems to be our economy, not just some random BBQ place, so no hard feelings there.

I need to come back and try the ribs.
