Whether you have a kid who loves trains and vehicles or you're just looking for something different to do, this place is awesome! They have tons to look and and walk through inside and out, so wear comfortable shoes. There are also tons of activities available, creation station sessions for kids 1-5 is totally worth the few extra dollars, miniature train rides for all, and so much more. Check out the site.for details. The membership is honestly the best thing to do if you plan to go twice in a year.
The staff at our hotel told us about this museum, I had heard of it, we were looking for some place to take our almost 3 year old grandson. We all enjoyed it! He loved looking at the trains and the train ride, and the fire trucks. There was a Saturday display of older trucks collectors had brought it, as well as old hit and miss engines. Emergency vehicles of all sorts were there that particular day. Highly recommend, a nice half day visit with most of it being outside. Great place for young and old alike!
I found this museum the last day of our trip. Beautiful and very informative museum. Make sure to ride the trolley. Their volunteers are incredibly knowledgeable as well friendly. I would love to return, they had a lot of engines you can walk through. Definitely go with your kids or grandkids.
Great place to take kids. Very clean and friendly service. We enjoyed it. Even bought a yearly pass.
