“My Mom has been a resident here for quite some time, after multiple hospitalizations/rehab/skilled care. The last time she entered Delmar Gardens Meramec Valley from the hospital (a bit over a year ago), she was on hospice. We have experience excelelnt care at all levels with this facility. The staff that takes care of, and interacts with Mom is always pleasant, helpful, and competent. When we visit, we feel the caring culture that exists, and this has been over a long period of time. Mom has done so well here that she has been taken off hospice! We feel this is in large part attributed to the care she has received here. She really enjoys the food, so her nutritional needs are met. Her room is very clean and comfortable, which matters. Medically, she is well taken care of and the staff has been really good at caring for her unique needs, and we have seen a tremendous reduction in the incidence of her recurring infections that she has suffered over many years. What used to happen every month or two in the past, now only happens once a year (maybe). This is a evidence of excellent care. Also, the care teams from Mercy that visit her there are excellent (Dr. Whitenhauer and team), and Mom also has dental insurance through Apex which comes onsite to take care of her dental needs, they have been wonderful as well. So, the staff at the facility, plus all the arrangements they have with other key medical teams results in an overall quality of care that honestly couldn't be better for our Mom. We are really grateful, to say the least. I will edit as Mom remembers more names, but the caregivers that stand out to her have been Kim, Dee, Maura, Celeste and Taylor. Again, we know there are many other missing, and I will try to update when Mom mentions them.”

They have many ways you can spend time there, retreats, individual and small group retreats, dinners, star gazing just to name a few. You can also just go and walk the grounds for peace and solitude. It is holy ground and I always find peace there.”
