“A quaint park with a modern playground with a swing and little free library. This is not a large park and it is especially peaceful in the evening. Just off the main road but far enough to not have too much traffic distraction. Lay on the basket swing in the evening and stargaze.”

Well, slender roe deer often come out to welcome the guests of the park. Therefore, peace and tranquility await you here. Welcome!”

“this place was beautiful, tucked away you would never know it was there. in the area that day searching randomly. near me and went check it out couldn't believe how nice it was soccer field baseball field pavilions playgrounds walking and bike path that were a pretty decent size park looks small but it's actually pretty big there's a lot of room and couple of pavilions with bathrooms as well. clean manicured landscaping that was maintained very nicely, this is what the model of a small well kept enjoyable neighborhood park should be...”

“This place is so named because you can't find it. If you use Google Maps, it takes you on a goose chase -behind- the woods, to a moss-covered set of stair that leads, surprisingly, not to the woods, but to a subdivision. The REAL entrance is off Barrett Station Road across from the Kirkwood Gardens nursery. The only signage is a small sign (shown), which leads to 8 paved parking spots and the trailhead. The woods themselves are completely unimproved: earthen path, no other signs of civilization except one log bench near the back. The path is irregular and uneven, even steep in places. If you want to completely escape civilization, here you are!”

“Nathaniel Green Trail is a simple out and back trail, but one that leads to multiple side trails. Not many views, but if you're looking for a quick 6 mile out and back, this will work. If it has rained at any point in the week, expect it to be muddy in most places, but it is not overly sloppy everywhere.”

“Very small park featuring a small man-made cave and creek. Not much for hiking at all but amazing that this park displays Missouri"s natural beauty in a hidden suburban pocket. I have seen several large deer here. Beautiful.”

“It really is a nice historic site. I've been there probably 20-30 times and it's never been super busy. In fact, there have been days when my family were the only ones there. It's got a ton of great information and I joke that I could have given the tour when I was a kid because I visited so often. It's the first historic site I can remember visiting and it got me hooked on history. It's a great trip, and as an added bonus, Grant's Farm is right across the street, I recommend making a day out of it and going to both!”

“Visiting the sunflower fields in the summer has become the trendy thing to do, but it is so magical out here. The sky feels bigger and the biodiversity is so cool to see. There are trails as well and it’s worth getting out to to have a look at the confluence. I’ve been here in the fall as well and it’s still beautiful.”

“As an artist that makes ceramics, paintings, and various other forms of art I sometimes find it hard to appreciate some sculptures. park itself is ok, however you may see owls in the woods along the trails just left of the entrance which is pretty cool. The park offers a lot of space for picnics and also have some tables to sit at.”
