“Critter Lane is a great time for all kids! I went a few years ago and then again recently. They have made some wonderful improvements and are always adding to their zoo! Not bad pricing either.”

“This is one of our favorite, free attractions around eastern Kansas City metro area. Peaceful, serene and a great chance to commune with wildlife while still being close to everything the city has to offer.”

“Wow wow wow. I LOVED this place. 100F heat and an hour long easy hike to see very cool wolves. Our tour guide was awesome. Funny story...in the gift shop I bought a "souvenir". Dream Catcher earrings. When I got back to the vehicle I saw the tag on the back "Made in Canada" Lol...I'm from Canada 😆😂😅”

“Beautiful zoo! And it is free! They charge for a few of the attractions but they are geared more for smaller kids (Dino, train, petting stingray.) The bird house was one of my favorite exhibits. We also loved the penguin exhibit and how close we were able to get to them. It felt like we entered their habitat, but without disturbing them. Oh, and the Grizzlies! Really, a great zoo.”

“Absolutely love this farm and park! There aren’t very many nice parks in south county compared to the city so this one is golden. The kids loved the farm and I love how easy and less crowded it is to get around and feed the animals. The playgrounds are great and the picnic areas are decent. The pond is a nice place for recreational fishing too. This park can be a whole day visit or just a few hours. We went an a weekday so there were a few class field trips there. Luckily they moved on to the playground so the farm wasn’t crowded.”

“Very nice place to observe nature at its finest - boat ramps are kept up and easy to access as well as the west boat ramp being able to suit the handicap individuals. Its a great place to fish and get away from the hustle of the city and all the noise.”

“We had not been to the zoo in 20 years. We took our children and grandchildren, and we all had a fantastic time! Our kids live in Norfolk, Seattle, and Portland. They agreed that this is the best zoo they have seen; so many animals, in beautiful, natural surroundings. Purchasing the platinum bracelet was a little expensive, (it supports the zoo????), but it was a great extra for our kids, ages 2-9. They rode the carousel 6 or 8 times, and enjoyed the sky tram! We all agreed that it was a great experience!”
