A small pizza place with BIG attitude, because the full sheet pizzas are HUGE!!! The staff was friendly, talkative and kind. The Pizza was delicious and the atmosphere made us feel like we had found a secret gem downtown Chicago. Inside you'll find home made breads, a fresh meat and cheese counter and pasta. The only down side was we ordered to much! I highly recommend giving it a try!.
Found this Omaha landmark pizzaria on Google and tool the chance to try out and I was glad I did. Italian heritage up for display the moment you walk into the establishment. I found myself reading the many stories connected with the pizzaria on the wall. Service was friendly. Ordered a pizza and it was good. Taste like homemade and not greasy like the typical franchise locations. Not really a fan of the garlic bread it came with although a nice unexpected touch.
You need to checkout the wonderful mural created South Omaha Murals. What a wonderful recognition of the local culture.
This was an interesting experience. I expected a full service restaurant, but found out it was more of a store where you order pickup, to go, or groceries.
We asked about eating in and they informed us they have these tables they can set up next to the bench. So it is technically a dine in restaurant.
The pricing here is fair. The sizes of the pizza were generous. It looked like Detroit style pizza to me, served in rectangles.
The people working felt more like a family vibe and they were very friendly and casual.
Parking is available on the street for free. I took a photo of the parking area next to the building.
We ordered the garlic cheese bread and a sheet pizza that we got split into two different toppings. I went with a mostly vegetarian, so we didn't get meat options which is what I'd normally try. I did like the cream cheese addition. That was a nice touch.
I'd like to go back and try more options. Hopefully find myself that 5 star combination.
All I can say is wow!! Cute little Italian bakery and pizza shop. The man behind the counter was so sweet. Pepperoni pizza was delicious! They threw in a free order of cheese garlic bread and it was so good! If you are in the Omaha area, you must stop here!!
Great service. You can really tell that they care about the customers. I saw one of the young employees walk out in the cold wearing shorts and a t-shirt helping a guy carry his order to the car. The owner was awesome for giving me free garlic bread just for being a first time customer.
I'm a fat guy with a big appetite, I got the medium size (quarter sheet) for myself and it was plenty food to get me full. Two regular skinny people will be fine with a medium. They have a loyal fan base and you can see why. They close early though so keep that in mind.
