My child started at Discovery Charter school in the 4th grade. Both my child and entire family were warmly welcomed by the entire administration from that very first day. The classroom sizes are smaller which really puts the focus on teachers working towards the students mastering their educational goals. Parents are encouraged to participate in their child's education and both the principal and assistant principal really take parental concerns seriously to help in any way they can to make the learning experience even more productive for each child that attends the school.
AMAZINGGG
Some people aren't going to be happy, no matter how great something is. My son hated public school. He is doing wonderful at DSC, the teachers are very involved, making sure he has tutoring for subjects he struggles in. Coach Johnny is wonderful, but so are all the others, we need more schools like this!
I would imagine going back to public school might be hard, because the kids are going back to sitting in one room all day. Kids today don't do well with that, my son is in at least 7 different rooms a day, breaking it up so that he doesn't get bored.
I have nothing bad to say.
