  It was a great experience. Very very beautiful place. We hiked the Mary Jane trail, had lots of up hill walking wich was great. It's a 3.3 mile trail. I recommend to bring a sweater or something to keep you warm. But something light because your body will heat up while you are walking up hill. Also some boots will be essential because of all the medium sized rocks which makes the path. And make sure you have a full tank because there is no gas on the mountains.

  Great hike. Vertical incline. Not recommended for small children. Bring lunch or eat prior. Great views. Hike takes approx 2 1/2 hours depending on incline speed. Elevation at the top is approximately 9500ft.

  It was definitely a good hike. Steep in places but not a rock climber. Time well spent with a great friend! The leaves are changing :) Beautiful!

  Be careful where you park
  Read sign thoroughly and obey, lots of parking tickets given. Same for the speeding. But it's a beautiful hiking area and much cooler than hot Vegas in the summer

  Whether you are heading to Charleston Peak, Fletcher Peak, Mummy Mountain, Cockscomb Ridge, or parts unknown; the trail starts here and you’ll get to know its first two miles quite well. Parking lot tends to fill up in the afternoon hours, so an early start is ideal. Two well maintained restrooms at top of trail.

Skip's trail Canyon hike group is meeting at there. So, make sure you are with right group when carpool. Plan to carpool and riders should chip in $5-$6 for gas. Our trail head is Trail Canyon Trail head. But we will finish at South Loop trail head. So, we will leave few cars at there before hiking.
