Every time we go to the Valley of Fire it amazes me how stunningly beautiful it is! The changing light and shadows transform every vista from hour to hour. This picturesque place portrays the desert at its best!

VoF is a great park. Many great views that can be had just steps from your car if you are not a hiker. Better stuff if you are.

Everyone is different, so take this with a grain of salt. For me after and hour it all looked the same and became a bit boring.

It was a bit smaller than I thought, nothing fancy, but it was still a nice visitor's center. What I found really fascinating was the gift shop. They had crickets and worms for people to eat!! I had actually heard something about certain villages in Africa eating crickets as a delicacy, but I'd never seen that in person. I was too chicken to try them but maybe I will on the next visit.

One hell of a place to visit while in Vegas. Short drive. Beautiful views. Abundant wildlife. We visited Jan 2020. Perfect weather at 65°. Easy short hikes with tremendous history dating 1000's of years with easy views of Petroglyphs.

Lots of features and the park ranger was very informative about local fauna. The center had a place to pay the park fee ($10-15), a gift shop, vending, information areas about local geology, flora and fauna. The photos as you enter are amazing ones of living creatures in the park. The center has some lovely cactus planted outside, the views from it are beautiful and there is a short trail leading right from it. There is plenty of parking. It's a good idea to visit the center before venturing in if it's your first time here.
