  When my girl and I first moved to the area, we looked all around the basin for a midwife who was knowledgeable, welcoming, and thorough. When we finally found Jackie’s number, we found an experienced midwife who met all of our criteria and then some.
  
  She is thoughtful, welcoming, compassionate, and with no pretension whatsoever, it’s easy to feel at ease in a situation, at least from my perspective as a first time father in the middle of a pandemic, where it’s hard to be comfortable.
  
  She articulates the process in a clear and effective manner, and that, coupled with a birth plan philosophy that the expecting mother or couple should customize the process to meet their unique needs and wishes.
  She has a disarming charm that put this uncomfortable expecting father at ease and she is so enthusiastic about her craft that one quickly realizes it’s her calling and her passion.
