“This place just keeps getting better. In its earlier days, the land was used as a quarry. Eventually, the whole that was dug was filled with water. When the project for the nature reserve first started the water was very dirty with machines even under the water. There were cranes all around and pipes everywhere. Since then, the community has come together to clean it up and make it their nature reserve. Kids from the Catawba Project plant trees and flowers while EHT Residents and public works go around to clean the place seasonally. It's a great place to go running, walking, biking, boating, or fishing. I love coming here with my family and friends to enjoy the nature. There are two parking lots which can get full quickly some days. No motor vehicles are allowed which means no quads, dirt bikes, or motorboats. They pollute the land. It is truly a nice place and if your visiting the area this is definitely a great place to see.”

“Great place for a family outing ! They have awesome nature trails, a park for the kids, picnic table and BBQs,etc. Also they put on a not so haunted hayride for the young ones to enjoy. Hayride prices are $5 each for 2 and older. Over all a great place to spend the day.”

“This playground is wonderful! The equipment is perfect for kids age 2 and up. The ground is soft in case they fall. It's next to a great walking path and the local library branch. The only downside is if it's a really sunny day, the playground tends to be too hot to enjoy.”
