“We just had a fantastic first visit to Oakland Smile Station for my four year old. It was her first time to the dentist and she was really nervous but they made her feel at ease. Everyone from the reception staff to the dental hygienist Miss Susan to the dentist were smiling, friendly and talked to her on her level. The actual cleaning was gentle and they introduced all the tools before using them to show my daughter that it wasn’t scary. He has always treated me with the utmost care and made sure I was always comfortable during all dental procedures and check ups. He and his staff are kind and caring, sensitive and responsive to dental emergencies and go above and beyond in their office hygiene, always. My check-up appointment was cancelled in March, due to COVID19 and then rescheduled in August, when some businesses could open back up. I was nervous (I'm a bit of a germaphobe) going to the dentist during a pandemic, but thought I should go now while things in NJ were at a low. Park Ridge Dental met AND exceeded all of my expectations in regard to safety protocols and office hygiene. I've referred so many people to him, particularly those with dentist phobias from other dentists that are not like Dr peter. He has done dental work on me and my friends, that was impossible to be done by other dentists. He saved my mother's teeth , up until she was in her '90s . My dad also went to Dr Peter before Dad passed , and he also was thrilled . On top of the apprehension, there is also a fear that some practitioners like to upsell work you may not necessarily need, but because you have good health insurance, they take advantage. Dr Powell was able to see me with an emergency treatment for a wisdom tooth impaction that was unbearably painful. His assistant, Regina, was courteous and very understanding of my fears. Dr Powell was able to treat me and explained to me every step of the treatment to ease my fears. Not only was the process smooth, but I was so well informed about my condition. There was no upsell of additional work to milk my insurance, but only the necessary treatment to help my condition. Everyone at the office was kind and courteous. You really felt like a patient and not a case number. I got upset and called Dr Morse; he talked to me for half hr and asked me to come in next day. He explains everything in detail and doesn't do anything unnecessary.
