Isaac Hilliard House Bed and Breakfast

  We stayed in the Isaac Hilliard suite one night. Wish we could've stayed longer. The room itself is charming and the high, four poster bed lovely for sleeping. The bathroom is private and huge, and the tub had a wide edge which is nice if you want to sit for your shower or soak your feet. Our room also had AC that worked fine, and a mini fridge. It's a lovingly-maintained home, and our room was spotless. Our breakfast was meatless at our request, and was delicious, with fresh fruit, and spinach and egg muffins. Because Phyl has to get up early, it's best not to check in late here. We picked up our key and headed to Mount Holly for dinner, which I also highly recommend.

  Staying at this wonderful charmer of a bed and breakfast made our honeymoon night perfect for us. We both love antiques and things from a by-gone era and we felt at home right away. It had so much more charm and personality than a sterile hotel would have! Our hostess Phil was a delight to interact with (as well as her little gentleman of a dog, Dash). The breakfast she prepared was delicious. Our honeymoon suite was spacious and had lots of beautiful little details in the décor and woodwork. Loved the poster bed with the crocheted lace canopy! We would highly recommend this to anyone who loves old world charm.

  We had a wonderful experience. The house was beautiful. We sat in the parlor listening to the relaxing music and enjoying the atmosphere before we went to bed. Phil is the cutest older lady ever. She made us feel like we were staying with a family member. She let me hang out with her little (well behaved) dog. This was an added bonus for me because I really miss our pets when we travel. My husband and I love history so staying in a house built in 1749 was really cool. Houses were smaller back then so the rooms are smaller (as expected). If you love history, this is the place for you. The neighborhood seemed safe and quiet.

  During my duty in fort Dix I had the luck to stay in this wonderful B&B.
  
  It's a house full of history and character. I had a wonderful time there with a great breakfast every morning. After duty it was like coming home.
