“I had the most unfortunate experience of placing my mom in a nursing home about a month and a half ago suffering from acute dementia. Most importantly to take not is how vital it is to do your due diligence in getting it right. I found myself basically stumbling thru the process having moved from the area 44 years ago. With that said I was backed into a corner of having to choose in a short period of time. Sadly I choose wrong. After 2 days of my mom being admitted I witnessed so much inhuman handling of the patients that by the end of the 2nd day I went looking for an alternate facility. After having exhausted my resources working with community organizations I choose to visit Manor Care in West Deptford and was overwhelmed the careing personnel there starting with Samantha Pinner (Director of Admissions). She showed enormous compassion in helping me get mom moved. I moved mom into Manor the 3rd day after my initial mistake. That day I was introduced to Nina Bobkovs, the Social Director. This women is Sister Theresa and Aunt B roled into one. She, along with Joann my moms hospice nurse from the Angelic Health organization, got me thru this traumatic time. Let’s not forget the Nurses stations on my moms floor who treated her with dignity and compassion. God bless you all and only the best wishes for you and yours.”
