“I’ve tried exercise classes everywhere, including my local YMCA, martial arts dojos, a place called I Love Kickboxing (I don’t know if they’re still around), but I could never get myself motivated enough to continue going after the first week or two (begrudgingly). Since the COVID pandemic, I’ve been working from home so I’ve become very sedentary and decided that I need to do something more than just walk my dog. I saw an ad for CKO’s 16 week challenge and decided to go to the introductory meeting to hear how they’re going to be different. During the meeting, I heard things that other places promised to deliver like a “fun” experience and all that. I was still skeptical that I would continue, but I signed up anyway. I told the instructor and the others that were there, that I am motivated now, but there’s no guarantee that I would still be motivated next week and that I’m the type of person who needs somebody to come to my house and drag me to classes or threaten to steal my catalytic converter if I don’t go, because I’m so bad with committing to these things. One of the other prospective participants offered to scoop me up on the way to class but we lived in opposite directions, so it was all on me. I went to the first class and it was tough. I’m in my early 50s, overweight, and extremely out of shape, but I got through it and I loved it! I returned for a second class and enjoyed it as well! Third class was also very good/exhausting. I found that each instructor has their own style, but they all get you moving and keep you motivated throughout. Now, I’ve realized that the more classes I go to, the easier they get and the more excited I am to continue. It’s really very strange for me to feel this way about exercising because I’ve always hated it and always talked myself out of it, but something about the feeling of punching and kicking that bag is exhilarating! It’s exhausting for sure, but it’s great because they work out every part of your body. You’re not running around the perimeter of the gym to strengthen your legs and get your heart rate up, you’re boxing and kicking and standing in ways that make it more fun than just jogging or running. The stretching, planks and other activities strengthen your core and other muscles, so you truly get that whole body workout without getting bored!”

“My mother is 94 and has been a resident at Brookdale Hamilton for 2 1/2 years now. Brookdale Hamilton is a dementia/Alzheimer’s care facility only. It is a small facility which I love. My mother enjoys the daily activity program which helps residents with their memory by answering trivia questions, playing games, doing crafts, baking, exercising etc. A new Executive Director, Jamie Whilden was recently brought in. There are always some reservations when there is a change with management but it seems that Jamie has a grasp on what needs to be done. I had a few issues that I discussed with her personally and she quickly and efficiently took care of them. The entire staff is exceptional…. kind, caring and so much patience with all the residents. The food is very good & well balanced and the dining room is lovely. I can visit my mother anytime I want and take her out for lunch or to my house with no problem. I would absolutely recommend Brookdale Hamilton. It has definitely made a difference in my life and my mothers.”

“Very caring dentist! From the scheduling coordinator to the dental hygienist to The Doctor everything is seem less . You can actually get an appointment. I had my cleaning with Kim and she really cares about what she’s doing. I have had cleanings but it’s rushed a lot of time. I’ve only felt comfortable with one other Dentist Dr. Weinberger but he’s not in my network. After a couple of months my teeth are starting to be easy to take care of with great dentists and hygienist. They all care that’s the best thing .”

“It was my first time here. I made an appointment with Dr. B as my new primary care physician. I appreciate the ease of making an appointment online, and the fact that they use MyChart to store your records / get in contact with the doctor. The receptionist was very pleasant and I was taken back by the nurse promptly at my scheduled time. The nurse was kind, took my vitals and the doctor was seen immediately after. Dr. B was SO informative and has great bedside manner. She informed me of all my options and made me feel very comfortable. I will recommended this location and Dr. B to anyone.”

“The care I received from Dr. Lipani and Kathy, his head nurse, is unlike any I have encountered in my entire life. Dr. Lipani at every visit takes the time to listen and then thoroughly explain how he can help you. He truly cares about his patients and wants to fix what is wrong. He is there for his patients before, during and after surgery. I have never met a doctor that is willing to be on call to talk to his patients the way Dr. Lipani does. He has truly been an angel and is so incredibly genuine. Kathy is another invaluable component of the office. She makes sure that you NEVER have to wait for anything. She literally takes care of everything single thing that you need from insurance, hospital, appointments, you name it - it's done.
