“There is so much art everywhere, and so many different pieces to look at! It's very fun! It has a gift shop where you can purchase books about art they have out. All different things to buy there. Copies of art, postcards, books. Bring money for a book at that gift shop. Expensive but worth it, especially if it's not a place you visit more than once or a couple times in your lifetime. Great for a day trip!”

“We had a great time with the Trenton Fire Department on Perry Street this past Friday, July 7th, 2023. Once the firefighters discovered that pizza was Hannah's favorite food, they invited our family to sample homemade pizzas made from scratch! While there, we also had a chance to tour the tremendous Meredith Havens Fire Museum and the fire trucks on sight. Our son pitched in, as always, to help out in the kitchen, and it was great to laugh and joke with the Chief, Captain, and other firefighters amid their camaraderie. We highly recommend that if you are in the Trenton area, to stop there one day to greet and wish them well and to visit the firefighter museum, which has memorabilia back over 200 years! They are always open, 24 hours each day!”

“Great place to visit I. Princeton, they have a fantastic grand father clock show there! You can hear the old clocks chime. The history of the house is cool as well and they have a detailed tour, which was fun.”

“Great little museum. Only able to visit via guided tour, but no need to make a reservation. Simple enter the grounds and someone will take your through the house. My guide was very informative and I learned a lot about the origins of Trenton.”

“Exceeded my expectations in every way. Free admissions, a beautifully set farm nestled among some of the only hills in this otherwise very flat area of Central Jersey. Makes you feel as though you’re vacationing in the rolling hills of New England proper or somewhere in England, even. Calm gentle shallow creeks that are easy to wade into for little ones. Lovingly tended animals and friendly guides throughout the farm buildings. The kitchen guide and cook was a particular delight, leading its operation with noticeable competence and leading small awestruck children on grinding whole wheat, churning fresh cream for butter, and sampling traditional whole wheat quick bread. Even better, back at the visitor center, two more traditionally dressed ladies were whipping up some delightful homemade lunches. On the day I visited the menu included a quiche, tabbouleh salad, sweet potato bacon bisque, and hot dogs. Very reasonably priced and you can take it outside to a picnic table overlooking the farm. Will be working this place to our regular rotation!”

“Beautiful museum with a lovely staff. When I was there a man was playing the piano and it was so great to hear the piano and look at all the amazing art that was there. They have special events too that I've never been too but are popular among my friends. I'll have to check one out!”

“I'm always impressed with how professional the museum exhibits are whenever I visit. They are changed frequently and always interesting and worth the visit. Our favorite is the planetarium, which is never crowded. That makes parking simple on the weekends, an unexpected treat when traveling to Trenton. Definitely recommended!”

“I loved it! I went to an event hosted by an architectural firm celebrating 100years of their firm in the Trenton area. Not only did I see their historical contributions to design, we were encouraged to peruse the rest of the museum. Beautiful! Originally, the museum was a mansion.”

“Excellent tour!!! New Jersey is not my favorite state by a long shot, but the state house is extremely unique and the area is extremely well historically intact, even though it is in dire economic straights. More like one Street, but it's still a cool Street. My one gripe was parking YIKES. It took over 20 minutes for the security gaurd to check us in. Now I understand the times we live in and all, but it was extremely frustrating. We missed the tour because of it and had to wait another 40 minutes. I have been to 18 state/provenical houses across the us and Canada and not once ever had this problem.”

“Loved it, and so did my three teenage boys. Three different tour guides, dressed in period clothing, enlightened us on what it was like to be a soldier during the Revolutionary War, use medical services from that era, and be a civilian when your hometown was overrun by Hessians. The museum features a wealth of information on the Battle of Trenton, the Second Battle of Trenton, and the French and Indian War. It's a wonderful place to learn about history and teach your reticent, video game-addicted children about the past. Be sure and watch the 10-minute video on the Battle of Trenton. It's well worth your time.”
